Kornati (Croatia) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Kornati in Croatia.
The captivating world of Kornati is located off Croatia’s north Dalmatian Coast, a hundred and forty seven islands, an Adriatic paradise! As it is only accessible by boat, we begin in Biograd to a magical world of cliffs, coves, underwater caves and small rocky islands. A large section of the archipelago, which extends for two hundred and thirty four square kilometres, was designated as a national park in 1980. Of this, sixty nine square miles are islands the remainder being a maritime reserve with amazingly rich marine fauna. Školj Mountain is the highest point on Dugi Otok Island and is well known for two natural phenomena: its mile-long and up to one hundred and sixty metre high white coastal cliffs and the Mir Jezero, a salt water lake. On the last day of Creation, God crowned His work by creating Kornati, out of tears, the cosmos and a whisper of breath. Kornati, one of the most beautiful water worlds on Earth!

The Kornati archipelago in Croatia is located in the northern part of Dalmatia, west from Šibenik, in the Šibenik-Knin county. With 35 km in length and 140 islands, some large, some small, in a sea area of about 320 km², Kornati are the densest archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea.[1] From northwest to southeast (from the island of Balabra to Samograd), and from northeast to southwest (from Gangarol to Mana) they strech for 13 km. The name of the archipelago is the plural form of the name of the largest island, Kornat.
There are no permanent settlements in Kornati. Simple houses in well-protected coves such as Vruje, Kravjačica, Lavsa and others are used by land owners as temporary shelters. Most of the land owners are from the island of Murter and Dugi Otok. The average monthly temperature for January is 7.3°C, in July it is 23.9°C, and the average sea temperature in winter is 14-15°C and in summer 22.8°C.

Kornati Islands National Park (Croatia)

Kornati Islands, Croatia
House Mandica is located in the bay Spatula on Kornati, Croatia, by the sea, with a beautiful view of the Adriatic. You leave your car in Murter from where the owner takes you to the property on a private 1 hour boat ride. The house is located next to a nautical restaurant, your closest neighbours for over 5km. No cars, no supplies, no 220V!
Craig Neill and his family went for 1 week to the islands and sent up the DJI Spark Drone, GoPro Hero 5 and Samsung S8+ to capture some footage of this isolated, yet beautiful location in the Adriatic.
