This is a small tour through Bern by foot. It start with the famous Kursaal which has a Casino inisde, followed by the Kornhausbrücke (corn house bridge), followed by a visiting a market place and visiting one chocolatier shop with chocolate made in Switzerland.

This is a small tour through Bern by foot. It start with the famous Rosengarten (rose garden) in Bern, followed by the Bärenpark (bear park), Nydeggbrücke (Nydegg bridge), the Berner Matte (Bern Matte), climbing up the stairs to the Berner Münster (Bern Minster) with a short visit inside and listening to the organs playing and finally a short visit of the Martin Krebs Galery with a deep inside view of Bewegliche Eisenfiguren (moving iron figures) which are an amazing moving mechanical master pieces of art as you probably have never seen before. These iron figures were welded together from different pieces that were used in agriculture maybe 30-50 years ago or taken from scrab yards and find now their re-use and re-invention in these perfectly shaped and orchestrated master pieces of mechanical art with precision technique made in Switzerland.

Winter Snow in Bern Switzerland on Interrail/Eurail Pass
Arriving in Bern Train Station to the start of winter snow in Bern Switzerland when travelling on Interrail Pass / Eurail Pass. The snow begins as we walk towards our hotel located near the Bern Townhall and within minutes the city is covered in snow.
Therefore we were quick out to photograph and video some of the main attractions of Bern in snow including the Aare River, the Bear Pit, Kornhausbrücke Bridge, the Cathedral of Bern, Parliament Buildings and the Zytglogge Kornhausbrücke.

Bern, the capital of Switzerland a truly beautiful city with a well historically preserved old town. With its medieval city center, Bern was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983, but besides its historically buildings the city also offers a lot, small alleyways to explore, great restaurants and cultural activities. Surprisingly most people don’t think of Bern as being the capital city of Switzerland. The old town is half surrounded by the river Aare offering a place to swim in warm days. An amazing city that should be visited if you are traveling to Europe or Switzerland.

Ein Sommermorgen in Bern - die flach einfallende Sonne umhüllt die tiefgrüne Aare und ihre Ufer mit einem sanften, roten Licht. In aller Stille schnappst du dir dein Brett und gehst mitten in Bern auf der Aarewelle surfen.
Eine Welle für Bern -- dafür setzen wir uns konsensorientiert ein. Die Realisierung einer stehenden Flusswelle in den nächsten Jahren soll Surfern, Kanuten und Wassersportinteressierten das Surfen auf der Aare ermöglichen.
