W dniach 29 - 30 czerwca w Ogrodzie Botanicznym Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego odbył się XVII Festiwal Róż.
W tym roku w programie były warsztaty ogrodnicze „Róże na balkonach i tarasach”, warsztaty florystyczne „Układanie bukietu w ręku”, wykład „Czy można cieszyć się różami w ogrodzie bez ochrony chemicznej?” oraz ciekawe stoisko zapachowe Polskiego Towarzystwa Różanego.
REAKTYWACJA TORU SANECZKOWEGO W PARKU KOŚCIUSZKI
Po blisko 40 latach reaktywowano tor saneczkowy w katowickim Parku Kościuszki. Najmłodsi i nie tylko mogli oddać się zimowemu szaleństwu na dystansie aż 350 metrów, a wszystko za sprawą oddolnej inicjatywy katowiczan.

- The full community of the Park Neighborhoods participated in the planting of the Victorian gardens around the Kosciuszko Monument on 9th and Lincoln. These gardens were designed to replicate the original Polish gardens planted when Kosciuszko Park was first established at the turn of the twentieth century. No group worked as hard at this generation 's planting than the youth and staff at Ace Boxing. They came out in large number in 40 degree weather and torrential rain for three consecutive weekends in order to dig garden beds and plant all the bushes and flowers.
