Horan-Enya!1 of 3 largest boat festivals in Japan! Matsue, Shimane
About every 10 years this is a traditional boat festival involving up to 100 boats in Matsue. It is known as Horan-Enya and is 1 of 3 largest boat festivals in all of Japan. We were lucky enough to be able to attend it this year and this is the video we made of the nine-day-long festival.

Matsue River Boat Cruise (Japan) Jun-2017

The 50-minutes cruise (which departs in front of Matsue Castle) goes thru the moat around Matsue Castle and its surrounding town area. Surely an interesting way to see the older districts of Matsue!

Matsue Lantern Festival
B-Roll footage from the Matsue Water Lantern Festival (Matsue Suitoro). During the event, about 2,000 lanterns are set up at Matsue Castle and the surrounding area. It is a magical experience and you get to make your own lantern too. Best time to visit is in October especially between the 10-17 Oct.

It's travel report by the channel of GOTO ISLANDS,which is the special channel literally focusing on the highlights of this magnificent archipelago of GOTO ISLANDS. GOTO ISLANDS, or GOTO RETTOU in Japanese, literally means 5 major islands of archipelago, is made up of 140 islands including ５major ones represented by FUKUE-jima island which is the largest one among them. GOTO RETTOU, on the east China sea,100 km off the coast of NAGASAKI city in western KYUSYU,abounds in many, many scenic and historic sites. In terms of scenic beauty,GOTO RETTOU is designated as SAIKAI National Park noted for its magnificent archipelago seascape. Additionally,in terms of historic sites, some places are designated as JAPAN HERITAGE(governmental designation),and others are registered on the tentative list of UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage!!
Accordingly, I think few places in Japan can rival this archipelago's wealth of historic and scenic sites.
So,that's why I decided to open this channel to send you travel report on this amazing archipelago by utilizing my knowledge as licensed guide.

Tontomari beach is located in Fukue island,on the east China sea,120 km off the coast of Nagasaki city in western Kyusyu. As you can see, this beach has ineffable beauty particularly under the blazing sun!! Incidentally,this magnificent island can be accessed by a just 40 minutes flight from FUKUOKA,hub airport in Japan!!
