The Kowie River, South Africa (December 2017). Aside for Micropterus salmoides (largemouth Bass), which is an alien invasive species here, not much was seen in the upper and middle reaches. The lower reaches were rich with a number of estuarine fishes.

A beautiful day for a surfing competition, 30 degrees Celsius and a fresh offshore wind after the North Westerly wind the last few days made the ocean clear .
To top it off a school of dolphins swam in between the surfers...

Its main supply dam is only 6 percent full and it is the peak holiday season.
