The bus was on KMB's Route #72 from Tai Po to Sha Tin in the New Territories. It took a hilly road, Tai Po Road, rather than the To Lo Harbour Expressway. The Chinese University was also along the way. The bus was powered by Cummins LT10 and Voith D863 transmission.

My name is Dennis. In 2009, I opened this channel to record or document this city. I know something is being changed in next decade(s), or I felt the change have began since 2003, no later in 2046. I want to, at least, save some kind of city life in video form instead of taken photo or written in words. I strongly believe that motion picture and sound recording are much better way to preserve and present in the future when young generation want to get know of Hong Kong.
In May of 2018, I wrote the following statement in below:
Hi everyone, thank you for supporting me in fulfilling my childhood dream of making videos.
My parents had always taken a tolerant attitude toward my “capricious”: whether my work is feasible and sustainable... and they never complained about it.
As my father just passed away in May, I am left with no choice but to give up my video making venture.
In Hong Kong where the cost of living is sky high, youtube video making is simply not sustainable by google adsense alone. The revenue produced is way too insufficient for affording a domestic helper, and I must look after my mom all by myself - this is why I must stay very close to her at all times.
Unless my revenue is closed to market rate, or my income can cover a domestic helper, otherwise I can hardly justify any video-related works.
Therefore, from now on everything video will be postponed in terms of year(s).
Thank you, and hope to see you all again in the future.
Because I am the only son of my mother in Hong Kong, and I have to take care of her at home. I almost give up this channel because of high consumption of time and living cost. But I found some extra time.
I live in Fanling, north part of New Territory, so it will include my showtime of traveling back and forth. Because of home care to my old mother, there will be no time other than 9:00 to 16:00 because my mother is staying at the senior daycare center, so before and after that, I will NOT able to do filming.
I understand most of you are looking for high quality of video, e.g. 4K or 8K. But hardware is so important at this post-production, that is, the higher quality video, the higher powerful computer to render video. Financial is my biggest issue, I can't afford to buy an expensive hardware right now. Even previous old 2K recorded video, it wasn't easy at all, one hour video = 1.5 hours of rendering time, plus uploading time. How about 1 hour 4K ? = 15 hour up......under my old computer. (please check youtube.com/user/hongkongmap/about )
I will continue to run this channel as long as the time is fit-on-me or I don't see any kind of video job could fit me.
I hope this is clear to everyone.

(20/5/2018) China Motor Bus LM10 Leyland Olympian 3-axle 11m K481EUX (FW3858) - Fenland BusFest 2018
LM10 made its first public appearance since 2014 at the Fenland BusFest 2018 event, and ran on two round trips on route 341 between Whittlesey and Ramsey.
First registered at the end of 1993, LM10 is one of the last Leyland buses built for Hong Kong, and indeed the very last one for China Motor Bus. It is also the last non air-con bus purchased by CMB. It is interesting to note that the 10 LM-class Olympians are almost identical to Kowloon Motor Bus's S3BL421-470 (nicknamed Tiger Leyland), in terms of specifications of both bodywork and chassis, probably because CMB's order was too insignificant.
The LM-class Olympians have 245-horsepower Cummins LT10 engine and ZF Ecomat 4HP500 gearbox, identical to their A/C cousins (LA-class). Therefore, without the A/C unit dragging behind, they were renowned for their speed and power, much like KMB's Tiger Leylands on the other side of the harbour.
The successor of CMB's bus network, New World First Bus, which inherited 710 buses (199 of them are A/C buses) from CMB since 1/9/1998, aimed at providing full air-con service at soon as possible. While withdrawing 2-axle buses at a fast pace, NWFB also found some buyers for most of its 3-axle non-A/C buses. The relatively new LM-class Olympians were withdrawn in early 2000 and modified to UK-spec, with single wide front door, 2+2 seating and small sliding windows. They were sold to First Bus in UK, and served in Greater Manchester, Glasgow and finally Great Yarmouth. LM10 was re-numbered as 681, 3001 and eventually 30097. The 10 Olympians were withdrawn between 2009 to 2010, and all except LM10 were scrapped. Since 2011, LM10 has been preserved by its current owner Chris Martin, and was repainted to full CMB livery in 2012. It would however cost too much to rebuild it to the original 2-door layout.
Thank you for watching!

The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited (KMB; Chinese: 九龍巴士(一九三三)有限公司), is a bus company operating franchised services in Hong Kong, and OS the largest bus company in Hong Kong by fleet size and number of bus routes. It is a subsidiary of Transport International Holdings.
MB was founded on 13 April 1933 as a result of the reformation of public transport by the Hong Kong Government. Before the reformation, there were several independent bus operators working on both sides of Victoria Harbour including KMB.
The KMB franchise allowed for the operation of public omnibus service on the Kowloon side as well as the New Territories. By 11 June 1933, KMB had a fleet of 106 single-deck buses.
The founding members of KMB were:
Tang Shiu-kin (鄧肇堅)
William Louey Sui Tak (雷瑞德)
Lui Leung (雷亮)
Tam Woon Tong (譚煥堂)
Lam Ming Fan (林明勳)
By 1940, KMB had 140 single-deckers operating on 17 routes. As only a handful of buses survived World War II, some lorries were temporarily converted into buses. By the late 1940s, KMB ridership increased with the huge influx of immigration from China. In 1949, KMB bought 20 Daimler double-deckers from England, becoming the first operator of double-deckers in Hong Kong.
Following the opening of the Cross Harbour Tunnel in 1972, KMB operated a number of cross-harbour routes jointly with CMB, China Motor Bus, the sole bus operator on Hong Kong Island. This marked the first time KMB buses running on the island.
In the same year, KMB began experimenting with buses operating without a fare collector. All passengers would board from the front door and pay the fare by putting money into the collection box next to the driver.
In 1975, the first air-conditioned bus in Hong Kong was put into service by KMB. Following the testing of double-deck air-conditioned buses Victory and Jubilant in the early 1980s, KMB became the world's first operator of such buses. All purchases after 1995 have been for air-conditioned buses.

My Story:
Live streaming will be held anytime from Monday to Saturday 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m HKT (GMT +8) at anywhere during my spare time. I live in Fanling, New Territory, so it will include my showtime of traveling. Because of home care to my old mother, there will be no extra time beyond above time shown, i.e. NO NIGHT-TIME video. Again, from 9:00 to 16:00 is my bonus time when my mother is been at the senior day-care center, so before and after that, I will not able to make live video.
The reason to make live streaming. I understand most of you are looking for high quality of video, e.g. 4K and VR 180/360. But hardware is so important at this post-production time, that is, the higher quality video, the higher powerful computer to render video. Financial is my biggest issue, I can't afford to buy an expensive hardware right now. Even previous old 2K video, it isn't easy at all, one hour video = 1.5 - 2 hours of rendering, plus uploading time. So 1 hour 4K = 15 hour up......
In order to make it easy for me, live streaming not only save my time but also i can interact with audience, right? But I will continue to make video recording like before, when signal strength is real poor.
I hope this is clear to everyone.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Instructions of watching my live streaming:
A) For the live streaming video quality, I suggest viewers should use a smaller screen to watch, I mean size no bigger than 17 inches. 720p can't be compared to 4K, even 2k, it is because I am NOT using a high-end equipment to do live streaming, please see below, a simple device with simple set-up is best for mobile live, that is, I am walking around, unlike people do indoor or stay in a place. Now the upload speed is around 450 - 500 kbps, if you know, this isn't support a high quality video, but it is all I can get. In fact this speed is equivalent to 480p only .....I think the problem isn't the sim card and this phone, it is most highly due to youtube ?
B) For my location, this is most question people would like to ask me, my answer always put on the first row of this page, the top linkage. Now you will ask: where is it ? By the time you read this, I am sure you were not with me on live, yes this is a google map live sharing feature, I will attach a link start with See me on Google Maps! ..... Not only given my location, but also include my local time, and battery %. This live map is only effective during on my live streaming, it will be no show after live streaming is end !
C) So the best way to watch live is by computer's screen, size enough to open 2 windows, one for live video, another one for live google map, in parallel side by side. The map will update every 30 seconds or less instead of every second I move.

Hardware and software:
1) This Live Streaming is powered by: streamlabs.com
Welcome support my live streaming events with donation or super chat:
Your donation name and amount will be appear on the upper screen live.
2) Feiyu G6 plus 3-axis Gimbal
This product is supported by a local company: 3superior.com
It is a nice and versatile gimbal for my shooting, not only limited to phone live streaming but also good for other projects, e.g. 4K/6K/8K VR180 and VR360 in future.
3) Redmi 5 plus andriod phone
1:13:33 time out is a major problem ! Otherwise 4000mah battery is good enough for 3 hours live streaming.
4) 4.5G Sim Card
China Motor Bus LV36 Leyland Victoy Mk2 ESF647W (CH9399) Scottish Vintage Bus Museum Openday 2019
LV36 was gifted to the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum by its previous owner New World First Bus Ltd. after the bus was withdrawn from service. For the last 20 years it has been enjoying the retirement life in Dunfermline, Scotland.
In the Mid-1970s, bus operators in Hong Kong had adopted one-man operation, and were running with the new rear-engined Daimler/Leyland Fleetlines. These buses however were developing faults under the harsh working condition on Hong Kong roads, and their performance on hilly roads were unsatisfactory. British bus manufactures had seized the production of traditional front-engined buses long ago; therefore both companies had to look for alternatives. China Motor Bus (CMB) looked into other options available, including the Metro-Scania Metropolitan, Volvo Ailsa B55s and Ashok Leyland Titans, whereas Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) trialled 4 Guy Victoy J modified and bodied by the South African coachbuilder BUSAF. Some of these buses had the right concept, with the engine and the entrance located at the front overhang, but they all had their own problems. Dennis saw the opportunity and provided KMB with 4 brand new front-engined chassis named the Jubilant for testing, and successfully won a contract of 50 vehicles. This pressured Leyland into developing the Leyland Victory Mk2, which as the name suggested, was based on the Guy Victory J.
The Victory Mk2, nicknamed the “Chicken” due to its “nodding” behaviour from the soft front suspension and the similarity in the word’s Cantonese pronunciation with “Guy” , is fitted with a Gardner 6LXB engine producing 179bhp and a Voith DIWA 851 3-speed automatic gearbox, linked to a Guy planetary hub reduction rear axle. This vehicle, like the majority of its kind, has a Walter Alexander CB type body. The model is also known for its height and high centre of gravity, and had been involved in a number of rollover accidents back in the day.
I was still a small child when the Vcitoy Mk2s were phased out from the fleets of Hong Kong, and never had a chance to ride on them. I couldn’t hold back my excitement when I saw LV36 in person, a bus that is specifically designed for the Hong Kong market. It was brought out to run the internal shuttle service once in the morning, and twice in the afternoon, each lasted for several roundtrips of the shuttle route. The bodywork is in a superb condition, and on top of that, several Hong Kong Bus enthusiasts visited recently and decorated it with authentic writings and stickers. Some odd metal clunking noise was coming from the drive train and the gearbox was a bit jittery when changing up, but the engine was very lively and overall it performed tremendously. The ride was living up to its nickname and was quite bouncy when going over bumps, still relatively comfy when compared to a Fleetline or Atlantean, though. It was a shame that LV36 couldn’t run a service outside the Museum at the moment, it was because of a problem with its license, according to the driver. Hopefully we could see it running on trips soon.
P.S. If you have managed to read through all this, I should probably point out that this is not a video by FF3170, despite the similarity in video editing style, it was merely a shameless copy so I don’t have to come up with my own format *insert appropriate emoji*.
Thank you for watching!
