After checking in to Harivihar Ayurveda Resort in Calicut ( we moved to Kozhikode Beach. Our aim was to try the beach food and street food in Kozhikode. In the beach I met Shabeer, Saran, and Roshan. Together we enjoyed the Kozhikode special Ice Orathi, Kada Egg Roast, and Kallummakka nirachathu. From there we went to the Bombay Hotel near Kozhikode beach. First we tried the Soyabean Roast just opposite to the Bombay Hotel. Then we relished on the evening snacks of Bombay hotel.

Kozhikode Beach or Calicut Beach is a beach on the western side of Kozhikode, situated on the Malabar Coast of India. The beach is accessible through four road overbridges in the city. The beach has paved stones and illumination. There is one Lions Park for the children and an acquarium. Kozhikode beach has always been a prominent place for conducting public meetings. The beach road was renamed 'Gandhi Road' in 1934 after Gandhi visited Calicut in 1934.

Kozhikode beach is famous for street food and we decided to start from the beach food itself. We walked along the stretch of Kozhikode beach for trying Kerala Payasam. Payasams were sold at a price of Rs. 20.00 per glass and we tried two varieties of them - the Vermicelli Payasam and the Legume Payasam.
After enjoying payasam from the beach road, we walked towards the famous grill lab on beach - the Calicut Karachi Durbar. We heard that Calicut Karachi Durbar at Kottooli is narrow and crowded. But the beach restaurant was not that crowded and the dining space is cozy. We tried their regular mixed platter which was priced at Rs. 480.00

One word which describes the beauty of this beach- Bewitching. Kozhikode beach is located very near to the town 3 Km from the railway station which is why this beach is famous among tourists as well as local people.
The majestic sea tides hitting the shoreline and engulfing the orange-red sun during sunset makes every evening a beguiling experience. If you visit the beach in the early morning, you might as well get rewarded by a playful show by the resident dolphins.
The beach is famous for an old lighthouse which gives it an ancient tinge. Apart from that, it’s a must-visit destination for all food lovers and photography enthusiasts.
