How to get from Krabi Airport to Ao Nang Beach Thailand
After staying in Bangkok for a few days I decided to hop on a plane to Krabi Thailand. I arrived just in time for a huge monsoon that soaked the town of Ao Nang. I also got to make a new friend Yudhi who I hung out with for the next couple days.

CONFUSING THAILAND TRAVEL DAY | Ao Nang To Koh Lanta Bus & Ferry
Time to see more of Thailand and Krabi so we head from Ao Nang to Koh Lanta, on the bus and ferry option, but not smoothly! ✈ Our 220 page guide on how to travel for a living —
Apparently saying we're heading from Krabi to Koh Lanta on the bus and ferry was wrong, according to Stace (fine, and Google) Koh Lanta is still part of the Krabi Province - Thailand keeps confusing me with their provinces :P Krabi or not, Ao Nang has been a blast, but it's time to keep the travel alive and grab a minivan and ferry combo to the island vibes of Koh Lanta.
Getting to Koh Lanta took a lot longer than the ticket time, but when it comes to travel days in Thailand you often just have to sit back and roll with it, nothing else you can do and getting mad doesn't change anything other than your mood. Despite the time it took, we're still pleased we took the bus / minivan option and not the ferry only - we've heard some pretty bad stories of how crammed they are and limited air con, or just having to stand outside in the sun, wind and salt for hours on end.
Check out our Koh Lanta accom, such a good spot:
Koh Lanta is freakin awesome by the way. We love it here. Have a few videos to share from Ko Lanta but we both got the flu and didn't explore as much as we would have liked.
K bye.

Destinations and approximate fares include Ao Leuk (20 baht), Ao Nam Mao (40 baht), Ao Nang (20 baht), Haad Noppharat Thara (20 baht) and Su San Hoi-Shell Cemetery (40 baht). In Ao Nang songtaews travel up and down the beach road and passengers can get on and off at any point along the route for a fixed rate that should be agreed upon before climbing aboard.

from Bangkok to Krabi (Ao Nang) - Thailand 4K Travel Channel
Spontaneously, we plan a three-day trip from Bangkok to Krabi.
Krabi lies in the Andaman Sea which we already know from a previous visit to Malaysia. We visited Lombok approx. 20 years ago. The Andaman Sea is famous for its limestone cones that rise steeply from the sea.
The approximately 800 km from Bangkok to Krabi we travel by plane. Again and again surprised us the size of the airport in Bangkok, but it is very well organized, so you can reach your aircraft stress-free. While waiting for departure, we observe an A380 when maneuvering.
After a short flight of about an hour we reach our final destination.
The transfer from the airport to the hotel in Krabi takes approximately three-quarter of an hour. The journey runs through the karst mountains, so that we get already a first impression of the landscape. A thick vegetation overgrows the jagged cliffs, as the region is known as very rainy.

Airport to Ao Nang Beach is an impressive journey for all tourist in Thailand. The sacred hill makes an easy day trip from Krabi Town. The resident monkeys will keep you entertained as you explore the surrounding forest trails.
You’re not far from the tropical lowland rain forest where you can immerse yourself in the cool mineral waters of Emerald Pool. Or if you’d rather, take a bath-temperature soak in hot springs.
Glide on the crystal Andaman waters to further sea caves and through mangrove forests, before heading back to wash off the sea salt in nearby Tha Pom stream in its verdant jungle setting.
Close your eyes and imagine a tropical paradise. Odds on, you’re picturing Krabi, Thailand’s lushest, greenest, wonderland at the edge of the Andaman Sea. With more national parks than you can shake a canoe-paddle at, this coastal region is dotted with dramatically rising rainforest-carpeted islands, and is spectacular.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS - Ao Nang, Krabi | Beach, Pier, Hotels | Thailand Travel Vlog
Our first travel vlog from Ao Nang, Krabi, and we see what it's like! Share our hotel, check out the beach & pier and...⬇ More Below ✈ Our 220 page guide on how to travel for a living —
In this vlog we explore Ao Nang. Theres not a huge variety or hotels in the area in the middle range, lots of hostels and fancy villas, but we're stoked to have found a good spot (linked below). We also explore the main beach, Noppharat Thara Beach and check out the pier for our visit to Railay.
Ao Nang is a pretty popular spot in Thailand, but we get the feeling it's a bit more of a jump of spot to do more island hoping around Krabi. There's still a decent amount going on, so we decided to get a scooter and explore the area.
The main beach of Ao Nang isn't high on our list of the nicest beaches ever, but the spot right next to it, Noppharat Thara Beach, was awesome. Thats what we look for when we travel, more local, authentic and less developed.
Keen to see the prices and reviews of our hotel? We really liked this place, great accommodation:

Krabi Airport, Thailand. Arrivals area and location of Ao Nang transport bus
Small but well organised airport. Ticket booth for transfer bus to Krabi, Ao Nang etc is immediately in front of you as you come out of the baggage claim belt and the bus is just a few yards outside the airport.

Ao Nang, Krabi - Thailand's one of best destination
Looking out on the plane window it was disappointing to see all the thunderstorm clouds covering Krabi. Once landed we took a shuttle from the Airport to Ao Nang, a very popular beach destination in the Andaman Sea. Our accommodation was around 50 min away from the airport and cost us 150 THB / head.
As the thunderstorm clouds slowly faded away, the rain stopped and you could witness this amazing scenery of the clouds lifting up from Krabi’s, hundreds of cliffs and beautiful green mountains.
We arrived to Cliff View Resort, it felt like you are in the middle of the jungle. The sounds of the jungle made its presence, you could hear the crickets, insects, frogs and green vegetation was simply mesmerising.
We stayed at one of these summer wooden villas, it wasn’t the tidiest little things but for the price it was worth it. Payed just under £13/night, including breakfast.
Suddenly the jungle went silent and within 15 – 20 minutes the rain started pouring down. Until the rain will stop again, we decided to go to one of the restaurants and try out some thai food.
We had some really good food, made peace with our enemies as Ciprian say’s quite often.
After all that good food, you had to have a thai massage as well, so that was our next destination. 1 hour thai massage, costs around £6 and can be really relaxing, or not, depending how hard the masseuse breaks you bones.
By the time we finished with the massage, the rain stopped and explored further on the island and its food.
2nd Day in Ao Nang, really excited, a 1 day private boat trip around the islands and beaches, just like the once on your favourite wallpapers.
Make sure to Subscribe to follow our next adventure in exploring the islands of Ao Nang, by boat and kayaking

Krabi Town Night Market | Best Thai Street Food | Things to Do Near Ao Nang | Thailand Travel Guide
We visit the popular Krabi Town Night Market that serves up some amazing Thai Street Food. Located in the south of Thailand, Krabi is a hub for many tourists arriving at its airport to start their beach holiday in beautiful surroundings. We stayed in Ao Nang and hired a taxi to take us to the night market for a change in scenery. The ride took approximately 30 minutes from the main strip of Ao Nang. The market was not only lively, but the food was some of the best street food we have tried in Thailand. We feasted on fried quail egg, Vegetable Pad Thai, Spicy Mushroom Curry, Glass Noodles and Thai chicken satays. The night market also sells clothing, handmade jewelry, and other little trinkets. There is also live music and if you get really adventurous you can take part in Karaoke night. For the kids, there 's balloons and a trampoline area to get out their extra energy after feasting on the amazing Thai Food.

What to do in AO NANG, KRABI, THAILAND | Railay Beach
Hello Friends,
In this video we make our way from Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand to Railay beach. Railay beach is a hidden gem, it's very easy to get there. The fastest way to get there is by long tail boat for only a few dollars, just go down to the beach in Ao Nang and you can arrange a group boat or private boat.
You can also take a taxi, but it will cost 10x more and take 10x longer, we would only recomend it if you have lot's of luggage and are staying in one of the hotels in Railay.
The island does have hotels, you do have the option to stay on the Railay peninsula. There is quite a few restaurants, but be warned it's not cheap there. If you do want to save money on food while you are there, you will want to purchase food from one of the boat restaurants on the beach.
This is a place that you don't want to miss, the limestone cliff's in Railay are super cool. We travelled all over Thailand and never saw another place like this.

Songthaew Local Thai bus tour from Krabi Town to Ao Nang. #ประเทศไทย
Ao Nang is a resort town in southern Thailand's Krabi Province. In Ao Nang mostly you find tourists as there are hundreds of resorts and hotels, but still people go to Krabi town for the night markets. The night markets in Krabi are very popular among the tourists.
Going to Krabi Town and getting back is very hassle free. Just hop on a Sangthaew (A small converted truck used for passenger transportation). You just have to pay 60 baht for one way and the same way you can come back to Ao Nang paying 60 baht. However, you can also hire tuk tuk but then you have to pay more than 200 baht each way and it's very costly if you are on a budget holiday.
I am from Pakistan, I love traveling and I have traveled to many countries..but my most favorite country is Thailand and then comes the Philippines, there are more 7 thousands beautiful, exotic and tropical islands in the Philippines.
