Eastern Cape Game Reserves Near Port Elizabeth
The Eastern Cape of South Africa has several Game Reserves well worth visiting in the malaria-free area. This casual footage was taken at Addo Elephant National Park, Shamwari (private reserve) and Kragga Kamma Game Reserve.
These are all nearby Port Elizabeth, a great base to visit the parks and reserves from. You can do self-drive game viewing at the public parks, and the private ones can arrange drives with their qualified rangers.
There are many more reserves we hope to feature in the near future.
On a sad note, rhino poaching has become a daily occurrence in South Africa. Feeding the high demand from the Asian black market, these animals are being slaughtered for their horns. Some killed despite having their horns removed.
The Rhino in this video is from old footage from Kragga Kamma Game Park. Sadly a female was shot by poachers two nights ago at this park, possibly even this rhino, despite only having an inch of the horn left. She was nursing a baby rhino, who is now orphaned.

We hung out with Giraffes!! Kragga Kamma Game Park Safari Vlog
We hung out with Giraffes at the Kragga Kamma Game Park Safari; they came within a foot of the car. It was incredible and I highly recommend going on safari if you visit South Africa. This park is about an hour out from JBay, South Africa. They do a daily cheetah feeding as well.

Kragga Kamma Game Park
These are pictures from our trip to the Kragga Kamma Game Preserve outside of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Absolutely beautiful area with plenty of wildlife to see. Unfortunately, the rhinos and buffaloes never made an appearance as they were hiding in the brush due to the wind. We were told being able to see the cheetahs has been relatively rare recently. Lucky for us, we spotted two with one of them going behind us to make sure the gate was closed.

Kragga Kamma Game Park Residential Estate - Craig Fensham 082 2191 284 and Tarryn Kock 081 369 4419
Kragga Kamma Residential Estate features freehold footprints which are now available within a homeowners association which governs the private open space where African game roam freely. We envisage the residential estate to enhance the park rather than commercialise it, whereby each homeowner will enjoy prime views over the park and play a part in conserving the fauna and flora of the land.
Please contact either Craig Fensham on 082 219 1284 or Tarryn Kock on 081 369 4419 to arrange an appointment to view.

Kragga Kamma Game Park in PE welcomed a baby rhino
Rhino poaching remains a headline grabber but in Port Elizabeth there is some good news in the world of Rhinos. The Kragga Kamma Game Park on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth is a rhino calf richer. All the rhinos at Kragga Kamma have been de-horned twice in the past few years to make them less attractive to poachers, but at least they have not lost the attraction to one another...

Kragga Kamma Game Park welcomes birth of baby rhino
The word rhino conjures up the image of the senseless slaughter of rhino's in South Africa. So its not often that one gets to celebrate when we say the word 'rhino. In Port Elizabeth there is cause for celebration and hope with the birth of a rhino calf at the Kragga Kamma Game Park. Less than a week old he is starting to find his feet.
