Kravice (or Kravica) Waterfalls is located near Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. You can take a day trip from Dubrovnik -Croatia, Kotor - Montenegro, or Sarajevo. Croatia to BOSNIA Roadtrip - Pocitelj, Mostar, Kravice (4K)
So, I've wanted to see Bosnia & Herzegovina for a very long time. I tried to get there but was always confronted with fleeting money, lack of flights, no time, it being far, etc.
It is safe to say, that when I found myself in Split - in the last few days of the tourist amenities being open, I had to do everything to get to Bosnia & Herzegovina.
This is where our +12hr roadtrip/tour comes in.
We booked it with a local Split company and it cost €67/pp.
The day was wild and magnificent. We saw the stunning coastline, massive moutanins, went through many small towns and villages, the Bosnia Motorway, and of course the main 3 locations; Pocitelj, Mostar, Kravice Waterfalls.
Please sit back, forget about the stresses of life for a few minutes and enjoy this video :)

Kravice Waterfalls, Bosnia and Herzegovina (Amazing Beauty of Nature)
Vodopad Kravice Waterfall often erroneously called Kravice, is a large tufa cascade on the Trebižat River, in the karstic heartland of Herzegovina in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is 10 kilometres (6 mi) south of Ljubuški and 40 kilometres (25 mi) south of Mostar. Its height is about 25 metres (80 ft) and the radius of the lake in the base of the waterfall is 120 metres (390 ft). Kravice is a popular swimming and picnic area and, during the summer, it is frequently visited by tourists from Mostar, Medjugorje and Dubrovnik.
The Kravica Falls area also has a little cafe, a rope swing, a picnic area, and a place to camp. The best time of year for visiting is during the springtime when the fall is at its fullest and the arid landscape turns a bright green. During the high season, various restaurants in the vicinity of the waterfalls mostly offer grilled dishes and fish specialities. Near the Kravica Falls is also a small grotto with stalactites made of calcium carbonate, an old mill and a sailing ship.

Auf unserer Balkan-Reise haben wir über eine Woche in Mostar und Sarajevo verbracht! ????????
Kriegserinnerungen in Mostar:
Bosnien-Herzegowina hat es während des Krieges von 1992 bis 1995 besonders schlimm erwischt. So auch Mostar. Der Ort liegt umgeben von Bergen, die sich für eine Belagerung leider perfekt eignen. Kroaten und Serben taten ihr übriges. Die Kriegserinnerungen und -wunden sind fast überall gegenwärtig.
Die mit Einschusslöchern übersäten Häuserfassaden lassen uns das Blut in den Adern gefrieren. Gerade mal 23 Jahre ist das Kriegsende her und doch ist der Krieg immer noch so nah.
Tagesausflug durch Herzegowina
Das Land Bosnien-Herzegowina besteht aus den beiden Regionen Bosnien (80% der Fläche) und Herzegowina. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Mostar für einen Tagesausflug durch Herzegowina genutzt.
Glaubensvielfalt in Sarajevo
Nicht ohne Grund wird Sarajevo auch „Jerusalem Europas“ genannt. Hier leben die vier Weltregionen seit Jahrhunderten friedlich miteinander. Im Umreis von 450m stehen eine Moschee, eine Synagoge, eine orthodoxe und eine katholische Kirche. Die gelebte Akzeptanz ist beeindruckend. Menschen aller Religionen und Klassen teilen sich die schmalen Gassen der Altstadt. Man klönt, trinkt zusammen türkischen Tee oder bosnischen Kaffee und genießt die Sonne. Die Toleranz dieser Stadt möchte man am liebsten einpacken und in anderen Teilen dieser Welt verteilen.

Kravica waterfall, Koćuša, Trebižat-Bosnia and Herzegovina | How to get there
Kravica is a waterfall in southern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Trebižat river, near Ljubuški. Kravica is 28 m high. There are other waterfalls on Trebižat, smaller but equally fascinating, Koćuša (from 1:20 in this film) and Čeveljuša (from 3:36) among others. Trebižat river is a tributary to Neretva. It dissapears/sinks into the underground and reappears again several times on its 51 km length so it has several other different names.

Dubrovnik to Mostar
After landing less than 24 hours into Dubrovnik from Portland, Oregon, we had an all day tour with Amico Tours to Bosnia and Herzegovina. We got to see the famed Mostar Bridge and Kravica Falls.
We had some guided tours with great guides who were full of information and history about the area, then had some time to free roam around the city as well. We had lunch with a great view of the bridge and went to the falls right after. It was just enough time to digest and take a dip in the falls. The water felt so good in the hot August sun.
Then we came back to Dubrovnik for a late, but still very lively dinner in old town.

If you are looking for day trips from Dubrovnik, Croatia, consider going to Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. You will stop in Kravice Falls after the Bosnia border crossing you will go back through a Croatia border crossing you will be back in Bosnia again. Bosnia and Herzegovina travel is not challenging. This is a budget travel trip. You will enjoy some time viewing with Stari Most Bridge. You will also get to see a Stari Most Bridge jump if you are lucky. The Kravice waterfalls was my favorite. We went on a day trip from Croatia to discover the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We explored Mostar and saw the crazy bridge divers! Later on in the road trip we found the amazing waterfalls at Kravice - a must see for anyone's bucket list.
