Kroller-Muller Museum Visit, Otterlo, Netherlands
This video is about a three-day visit to the Kröller-Müller Museum near Arnhem, Holland, about 1 hours drive southeast of Amsterdam. It features modern art. There is a well-curated exhibit of Van Gogh, Picasso, Seurat, and others in the main building. Perhaps the most enticing aspect is the outdoor sculpture park. Access can be made be car, but there are white bikes available throughout the park to travel on the paved trails (not on the roads) for access and further appreciation of the De Hoge Veluwe National Park that surround the museum ground.
Introductory film Kröller Müller Museum (English)
With the help of old footage, archive material and animations, the film portrays the story of the Kröller-Müller Museum’s unique history and its collection.
It goes without saying that the film focuses widely on the Kröller couple who founded the museum but it also casts the spotlight on the sculpture garden, which opened in 1961. The film is particularly special for its beautiful digital animations, which bring archive photographs and floor plans well and truly to life and take viewers along on a remarkable virtual tour through the first (small) museum in The Hague as well as the Big Museum by Henry van de Velde, which ultimately was never realised.
The film is around 20 minutes long.

A visit to Vincent van Gogh at Kroller Muller Museum
In this Friday's tutorial, I am taking you along to visit Vincent van Gogh at the Kroller Muller Museum at the National park De Hoge Veluwe
This art museum has the biggest collection of painting and drawings done by Vincent.
The Kröller-Müller Museum was founded by Helene Kröller-Müller, an avid art collector who, being advised by H.P. Bremmer, was one of the first to recognize Vincent van Gogh's genius and collected his works.
Next Friday, I will be drawing one of Vinent's drawings: The Reaper so stay tuned!!

Met werk uit eigen collectie van Georges Seurat (Parijs 1859-1891), en bruiklenen van musea en particulieren van over de hele wereld brengt het Kröller-Müller Museum 23 van zijn schilderijen en 24 tekeningen bij elkaar. Het is de eerste keer dat het geschilderde en getekende oeuvre van Seurat uitgebreid in Nederland te zien is. Zelfs Le Cirque, topstuk uit Musée d'Orsay, komt naar Otterlo.
Through loans from museums and private collectors from all over the world, the Kröller-Müller Museum has brought together 23 of paintings and 24 of drawings by Georges Seurat (Paris 1859-1891) . It is the first time that so many of the painted and drawn works of Seurat are being exhibited in the Netherlands. Even Le Cirque (The Circus), one of the showpieces at the Musée d'Orsay, will be coming to Otterlo.

A fabulous day out at the Kröller-Müller Museum, enjoying the 2nd largest collection of Vincent Van Gogh's works and other amazing artists hosted indoors and outside.
We didn't have nearly as much time as we wanted, so we will be back and explore the Hoge Veule National Park with the free bikes.

Met behulp van oude filmbeelden, archiefmaterialen en animaties wordt een beeld geschetst van de unieke ontstaansgeschiedenis van het Kröller-Müller Museum en de collectie.
In deze film is uiteraard veel aandacht voor het echtpaar Kröller, de stichters van het Kröller-Müller Museum, maar ook de beeldentuin (geopend in 1961) komt uitgebreid aan bod. Bijzonder in de film zijn met name de prachtige digitale animaties, die archieffoto’s en bouwtekeningen tot leven wekken en de kijkers meenemen op een wel zeer bijzondere virtuele tocht door het eerste (kleine) museum in Den Haag en onder andere langs het Grote Museum van Henry van de Velde, dat uiteindelijk nooit werd gerealiseerd.
De film duurt ongeveer 20 minuten.
De introductiefilm kon worden gerealiseerd dankzij een bijdrage van het VSBfonds.

The development of modern sculpture' shows the development of modern sculpture through the eyes of Bram Hammacher, director of the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo from 1948 to 1963.
