SJJA KuRingGai || St Ives
At Sydney Jiu Jitsu Academy (SJJA), we believe in changing lives through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Martial Arts. You will learn simple and effective self-defense techniques, train in functional fitness, and make life-long friendships. Our school also offers a wide range of programs, private training and a wealth of other benefits and features.
Whether you plan to lose weight, tone-up, or train for competition, our Ku Ring Gai location at St Ives, NSW offers kids martial arts classes and adult Jiu Jitsu classes.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a vehicle to develop human potential. Learning its techniques and discipline provides so much more than the knowledge of a self-defense style, it is a way of life that will continue to provide enjoyment and challenges for as long as the student is engaged in it.
SJJA Ku Ring Gai is run by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, Marcos Direnzi – “Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is more than just fighting. To me it's a beautiful art which can be used for self-development both on and off the matts. This is what I try to pass onto my students every day.

swamp wallaby in Australia
The swamp wallaby is a small macropod marsupial of eastern Australia. This wallaby is also commonly known as the black wallaby. The swamp wallaby becomes reproductively viable from 15--18 months of age, and can breed throughout the year. Gestation is from 33--38 days, leading to a single young. The young is carried in the pouch from 8--9 months, but will continue to suckle until about 15 months. The swamp wallaby exhibits an unusual form of embryonic diapause, differing from other marsupials in having its gestation period longer than its oestrous cycle.
