Kuang Si Falls, Luang Prabang, waterfalls in Laos HD 1080p
The Kuang Si Falls, sometimes spelled Kuang Xi or known as Tat Kuang Si Waterfalls, is a three tier waterfall about 29 km south of Luang Prabang. These waterfalls are a favourite side trip for tourists in Luang Prabang.

Kuang Si Waterfall Park, Luang Prabang, Laos

How To Travel Laos | Budget Trip to Laos | Day Six
Day 6
Got up at 7 am and left for the Kuang Si waterfall at 8:30 am it was 30 km away from the hotel so took a scooter on rent @ 90,000 kip for 24 hours. On the way I saw a butterfly park and an elephant camp too. The drive was very easy and the roads were quite good. Entry to the waterfall was 20,000 kip per person. Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Center is also there, they have around 15 Bears Captive in a electrocuted fence, Bear were laying Down lazy and the rescue center seems to be saving them by keeping them captive. There are two ways to go up the waterfall one easy and other is trekking so you can choose, I took trek which is fun but slippery and you need to be careful of spiders. Took of the waterfall was fine but there was no view of the fall. Best view is from the bottom only. We took a dip in the cold water, be careful of the fishes as they starts bitting the wounds it may hurt a little but locals say they are eating the bad skin. On our way back drom the waterfall we checked butterfly park and elephant camp the butterfly park was expensive to get in so we choose not to go in and to feed elephant was 20,000 kip so we choose to feed the elephant with bananas and checked the elephant camp, you can ride, feed, walk, bath the elephants, they have 11 elephant captive in electrocuted fences. We came back by 5 pm to the main street luang prabang. There are a lot of travel agents who will take you to the elephant village but the most expensive Mandalao charges 100$ per person and takes only 4 people daily for full day tour, they are the best because they keep the elephants as naturally as possible And dont let you ride or harass the animal any how. I didn’t go because in India we have a lot of elephants and i dont feel like spending this much amount on it. If you really have to go choose the tour agent who doesnt let you ride the elephant because is important to keep the animals at peace. Post that we had coffee Novelty cafe, then at 7:00 pm went for a movie The Green day @ Book and Tea Shop had a coconut smoothie and dinner at Uthopia cafe. Went for a good long walk and slept.

BEAUTIFUL Kuang Si Waterfalls | Milking a WATER BUFFALO at the Laos Dairy!
We ventured out of lovely Luang Prabang to explore the STUNNING Kuang Si waterfalls and the Laos Buffalo dairy. The waterfall is a short ride from town and the water is some of the most beautiful we have ever seen! After climbing to the top of the falls and taking a quick dip in the water, we hopped in a taxi to the Laos Buffalo dairy. We weren't sure what to expect from this but had SUCH a good time taking this tour! We really enjoyed feeding the animals, learning all about the project and of course trying the delicious buffalo milk treats.

We visited the very famous waterfall about an hour drive from town of Luang Prabang. Now only it's beautiful but the temperature is quite bit lower than the town due to its high elevation.

Laos - Luang Prabang #3 Kuang Si Waterfalls
* Deutsch ** English *** Espanol
* Ein Tagesausflug von Luang Prabang zu den Klang Si Wasserfällen ist eine Fahrt von ca. 30 km auf einer schlechten Landstrasse, aber durch eine tolle ländliche Gegend mit viel Grün. Auf alle Fälle sollte man vor 10 Uhr da sein, denn so schön die Fälle auch sind, sie sind nicht nur sehr touristisch, sondern auch bei Einheimischen beliebt und teilweise so überfüllt, dass der Genuss verloren geht. Trotzdem sind sie sehr schön anzusehen. Anbei ist auch ein kleiner Bärenpark wo Tiere aus illegaler Gefangenschaft aufgenommen und versorgt werden. Die nebenanliegende Schmetterlingsfarm haben wir jedoch nicht besucht. Insgesamt ein netter Tagesausflug.
** A day trip of approx. 30 km from Luang Prabang to the Kuang Si Waterfalls is on a very simple road, but with a beautiful green scenery and rural life. You should arrive latest before 10 am as the falls are already very touristic and also very popular for the locals, so very often it is too crowded that you can not enjoy the beauty of the place anymore. The bear rescue centre enclosed is for care taking of rescued bears out of illegal captivity. The butterfly farm next to we have not seen, anyway it is a nice day trip from Luang Prabang to see the falls.

Kuang Si Falls | Luang Prabang’s BEST Waterfall
Luang Prabang’s preserved colonial center is the top sight in town, but you ain’t seen nothin’ until you head out to Kuang Si Falls, Luang Prabang’s BEST waterfall. While its easiest to make a mini bus reservation the night before, there are plenty of tour operators around the city that offer transportation to the falls, located about 45 minutes outside of town. As of 2019, the standard ticket price is 40,000 kip per person for the round-trip ride, plus 20,000 kip for entry fee.
The entrance of the falls is home to both a butterfly garden (extra fee) and a asiatic bear reserve (free) — once you pass the latter, you’ll be at the base of the falls in no time. A series of pools at the base are perfect for swimming (get there early for the fewest crowds) while the hike up to the top sees various cool, blue waterfalls, water cascading down stairs and a beautiful view of the jungle and valley below. We attempted to find Kuang Is Falls’ secret pool away from the crowds, but all information leading us there was extremely outdated, and it seemed pretty clear that the way in has officially been closed off. No worries — the water is cold enough that you’ll probably be swimming alone anyway! Either way, DO NOT leave Luang Prabang without seeing the falls!
