Suizenji-Park Kumamoto JAPAN
Suizenji Jōju-en is a Japanese garden located within Suizen-ji Park 水前寺公園 in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. The main tsukiyama is a representation of Mount Fuji. Lord Hosokawa Tadatoshi began construction of the garden in 1636 as a tea retreat. The park was named after a no-longer-extant Buddhist temple called Suizen-ji, and now hosts Izumi Shrine, where members of the Hosokawa family are enshrined, and a Nōgaku-dō, a Noh theater. Lord Hosokawa selected this site because of its spring-fed pond, which clean water was excellent for tea. The thatched Kokin-Denju-no-Ma teahouse was originally in Kyoto's Imperial Palace, but was moved here in 1912, and the garden has been declared by the national government a historic site of scenic beauty.
The garden reproduces the 53 post stations of the Tokaido, the important road, which connected Edo with Kyoto during the Edo Period, in miniature form.
The Adachi Museum of Art 足立美術館 opened in Yasugi, Shimane Prefecture, Japan in 1970.
Japanese gardens 日本庭園 are traditional gardens that create miniature idealized landscapes, often in a highly abstract and stylized way.
Set in a beautiful natural environment, Adachi Museum of Art is well known for its superb Japanese gardens.
Adachi Zenko, the museum's founder, traveled all across Japan, collecting pine trees and rocks for the landscape gardens and putting his heart and soul into their creation. The six gardens, with about 165,000 square meters in total, show you various sceneries by season. You can enjoy the beautiful harmony of nature through art.

Kumamoto the world of beauty. - touch the Hosokawa culture-
The Hosokawa clan governed the land of Kumamoto for 240 years in Edo era. Its long line of patriarchs had reputations as cultured men as well as being skilled military commanders.
In April 2008, the Hosokawa Collection- Eisei Bunko Museum Exhibition Room was established in Kumamoto Prefectural Museum of Art. There are various art works, crafts and historical documents on display that have been handed down in the Hosokawa family.
This program will get a glimpse of the true charm of the Hosokawa culture, by following some works of the cultural heritage left by the family.
GeGeGe no Kataro Trick Art Exhibition in Kumamoto
This of course wasn't last week like I said in the opening. It was more like over half a year ago!
But it was fun! And a LOOOOOOOOOOONG drive!
I'd only recommend a trip to this small museum if you absolutely love manga and long drives or train trips, or you live in the area, which probably not that many people really do! I mean sure lots of people live in the area, but how many of them are actually going to see this video? :)

Kumamoto: Earthquakes and Art
In April 2016, Kumamoto Prefecture was hit by two massive earthquakes in two successive nights. The Contemporary Art Museum, Kumamoto, was damaged, but most of the artworks were saved, and it was able to reopen within a month as a cultural hub. Director of the Museum Takeshi Sakurai talked about his work there both before and after the earthquake, as well as the progress of reconstruction in Kumamoto more broadly.

Patung LUFFY senilai 1,6M diresmikan Di Tempat Kelahiran Eiichiro Oda

Environmental art exhibition in Minamata
An art exhibition under way in the southern Japanese city of Minamata, in Kumamoto Prefecture, features dozens of world globes showing global environmental problems such as mercury poisoning.
The exhibition is a run-up to a United Nations conference that opens in the prefecture on Wednesday. The conference will adopt a global pact called the Minamata Treaty, which will regulate the uses of mercury and its trade. Minamata disease, which is caused by mercury poisoning, was first reported in the city more than half a century ago.
The event features works by New York-based artist Ingo Gunther. It was organized by a group of sufferers of Minamata disease along with local residents.
About 60 world globes, each 30 centimeters in diameter, are lit from within by light emitting diodes. They appear to be floating in the dark.
On one globe, titled mercury pollution, areas in white indicate where the problem once occurred or still continues.
On another globe, titled soil degradation, the African continent and other areas where the soil is deteriorating due to desertification are shown in black.
The organizer says he hopes the event will help people understand that contamination issues similar to Minamata disease are happening all around the world.
The exhibition will run through Monday.
