Kungstradgarden Park in Stockholm, Sweden (King's Garden Park)
I took some time to walk around Kungsträdgården Park (King's Garden Park) in downtown Stockholm, Sweden. It's a big park that is right near the water and has plenty of statues, fountains, and green space to see. Shot in July 2018.

Kungsträdgården, Stockholm, Sweden,
Kungsträdgården (Swedish for King's Garden) is a park in central Stockholm, Sweden. It is colloquially known as Kungsan.
The park's central location and its outdoor cafés makes it one of the most popular hangouts and meeting places in Stockholm. It also hosts open-air concerts and events in summer, while offering an ice rink during winters. Additionally, First of May demonstrations held by the Left Party and other communist and left-wing parties usually take place here each year. There is also a number of cafés, art galleries and restaurants; for example Galleri Doktor Glas, a name taken from the novel Doctor Glas by Hjalmar Söderberg published in 1905.
The park is divided into four distinct spaces (south to north): (1) Square of Charles XII; (2) Molin's Fountain; (3); Square of Charles XIII and (4) Fountain of Wolodarski (without an official name). The park is administered and events in it organized by the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.

TOUR STOCKHOLM - Kungsträdgården (The Kings Garden)
Kungsträdgården is a park in central Stockholm, Sweden. It is colloquially known as Kungsan. The park's central location and its outdoor cafés makes it one of the most popular hangouts and meeting places in Stockholm and it over sees the Kings palace and the Riksdagen (Parliament). Kungsträdgården was in the past a garden for the royal family and not for the public.

5 Folk Festival in Stockholm - Sweden 4K Travel Channel
Kungsträdgarden in Stockholm is the ideal venue for music festivals in summer. Kungsträdgarden, Swedish for King's Garden, is a public park in the center of Stockholm. In former times, it was the castle garden of the Renaissance castle Makalös, which burned down. After its opening for the general public, the park was redesigned. Today it is a popular meeting point.
To the east runs an avenue with many restaurants, cafes or small sales stands. In the shade of the canopy of trees, you can relax and explore the terrain.
A big lawn where one sits or lies in groups together is in the south. Behind you find again a cafe. From here you have a nice view of the castle in Stockholm. In the middle of the grounds is the stage and in the north a small lake and a restaurant with a dance hall. On the eastern side, you can watch the games of the chess players.
During our visit in 2016, we happen to pass by chance and had no idea what is happening here. The organizer sees our camera and inquires for what purpose we film here. After explaining it to her, she gives us a program.
The 5 Folk Festival is annually on two days in July, with one week between. The intention of the festival is to familiarize the people with the culture and customs of the national minorities in Sweden. The focus is on Sami, Sweden Finns, Roma, Jews, and Tornedalians.
Different musical presentations take place on a big stage. But there are also countless entertainment possibilities for people of all ages.
We arrived at the sound check.
Then comes a part which is really great. Natti Alenius a well-known and acknowledged dance teacher and choreographer gives an introduction into the Tango dance. Young and older people like to take the offer and learn to dance the tango in a short time.
Afterward, Gabriela Gutarra instructs in flamenco dance.
We liked the very family-friendly approach of the people among each other. People of all ages are not afraid to practice something in public.

Stockholm Travel Guide - Sweden Memorable Moments
Stockholm Travel Guide - Sweden Memorable Moments
Stockholm is the capital and largest city of Sweden, with nearly 2 million inhabitants within its vicinities. The inner city is made up of 14 islands connected by some 50 bridges on Lake Mälaren, which flows into the brackish Baltic Sea, and passes the Stockholm archipelago with some 24,000 islands and islets. Stockholm is a cosmopolitan place with both classical and modern architecture, and a captivating Old Town, Gamla Stan.
Despite its northern location, Stockholm has fairly mild temperatures throughout the year. As a result of its northerly latitude, the city sees a dramatic seasonal variation in sunlight, from more than 18 hours of daylight around midsummer, to around 6 hours of daylight in late December.
Storstockholms Lokaltrafik, SL (Stockholm Public Transport) runs an extensive subway, commuter train and bus system as well as some light rail and ferry services, all using an integrated ticket system called SL Access. Stockholm has a metro system called the Tunnelbana, commonly abbreviated T-bana, and symbolised with a blue T on a round white sign. With exactly 100 stations, it is extensive for a city of this size, and will get you around almost all the downtown places as well as many inner suburbs.

Gamla Stan
An island with great waterfront views, the northern part of the Old Town is dominated by the Royal Palace and the Swedish Parliament.

Kungsholmen is an island at the western inner city, with Stadshuset (Stockholm City Hall) at its eastern tip.
Suburbs and bordering towns
Western Suburbs
The Western suburbs, Västerort, were built up during the late 20th century. Stockholm-Bromma Airport dominates the area. Vällingby, founded in the 1950s, is one of Europe's first planned suburbs. Solvalla is a prominent horse-race stadium. Kista is an international centre of information technology.
Northern Suburbs
Solna and Sundbyberg, just north of central Stockholm, are two separate cities within the Storstockholm. Danderyd and Täby, to the north-east, are affluent municipality suburbs that can be reached by underground and bus or Roslagsbanan.
Stockholm archipelago
Vaxholm is the gateway to the northern Stockholm archipelago. Värmdö, the largest island, similar to the mainland. Sandhamn, a resort-island in the outer archipelago. Utö, a rural island with an abandoned silver-mine.
