久留米石橋文化センター お楽しみガイド The Kurume Ishibashi culture center
福岡県久留米市で誕生したブリヂストンの石橋正二郎社長が久留米市に寄贈した筑後地区で由緒ある総合文化センターです。
久留米出身の画家青木繁をはじめ素晴らしい作品を集めた美術館や文化ホールをはじめ広大な日本庭園、バラ園の他に図書館やペリカンプールまで、幼児から高齢者まで無料で一日中楽しめる大娯楽施設です。
It is a general culture center with history in the Chikugo area which the Ishibashi Shojiro president in Bridgestone which was born in Fukuoka Prefecture Kurume City donated to Kurume City.
It is the big amusement establishment which it is possible to enjoy throughout the day free of charge from the infant to the aged people to the library and the pelican pool in addition to the vast Japanese garden, the rosery including the museum and the cultural hall which gathered a wonderful work including painter Aoki Shigeru who comes from Kurume.

An Old Mountain Tomb in Setaka- I Live in Japan Mini 79
Walking in down from the top of the mountain we came across an old grave I'd spotted from the car earlier. I just wish I'd brought a flashlight! I had no way of knowing I'd see this though. I've seen dozens of these old tombs on the mountain in Tannushimaru, but this is the first time I've seen one in Setaka.

The Rhododendron genus contains about 1000 species, of which especially the Satsuki (Rhododendron indicum) and Kurume azalea (Rhododendron kiusianum) are commonly used for Bonsai.
The azalea is popular for its spectacular flowers, which open in May - June and come in many different colors, shapes, sizes and patterns. The leaves are dark green and differ in size and shape, depending on the cultivar. Satsuki and Kurume azaleas are evergreen, small shrubs which are very suitable for Bonsai purposes.
