I heard that the view of “Nihondaira no Yume Terrace” was the best in Japan and went to see it.
The parking lot at Nihon Himemu Terrace is free and no admission fee is required.
The Shimizu Nihondaira Parkway in front is also free and rather surprising.
There are two parking lots at Nippon Himemu Terrace, both of which are free.
Although we were far away, we made the parking lot within a 2-minute walk to reach the dream terrace, but there are three restaurants and souvenir shops.
You can also go from the parking lot at the top of the mountain of Nihon Hirayama on the ropeway.
Nippondaira Ropeway connects the historic site “Kunzan Toshogu Shrine” related to Ieyasu Tokugawa in 5 minutes.
You can go up the stairs to the observation terrace on the 3rd floor of Nihon Hime Terrace, and go around the terrace.
It is the summit of the famous scenic spot “Nihondaira”, which has been selected as one of the top 100 sightseeing spots in Japan.
● Opening hours
Sun-Fri 9 am-5pm
Sat 9am-9pm
The observation corridor is open all day!
● Closed days
2nd Tuesday and end of year (December 26-31)
The observation corridor surrounds the Nihondaira Digital Tower.

Toshogu Shrine Nikko

Japanese Fire Festival - Sakitama Kofun Fire Festival さきたま火祭り
At Sakitama Kofun Park a fire festival is held on May 4th to celebrate an ancient myth of a Shinto goddess who defended her honor by giving birth in the midst of a blazing fire.
According to the ancient Japanese records of the Kojiki and Nihonshoki, Ninigi no Mikoto, the grandson of the sun goddess, Amaterasu Omikami, descended from heaven to rule the land. He married the Konohanasakuya-hime (Sakuya-bime), the daughter of the Mountain God, Ohoyamatsumi, and she became pregnant and ready to give birth in one night. Ninigi was suspicious and asked if the child was truly his.
Sakuya-bime was offended and to defend her honor had a hut made for herself then set it on fire claiming if the child was Ninigi then no harm should come to the child. As the fire blazed, Sakuya-bime gave birth to three healthy divine children and Ninigi was satisfied. One of the children (Hoori or Hikohohodemi) would become the grandfather of the first human Emperor, Jimmu, who according to ancient legend ascended the throne in 660 BC.
Gentle Curve on the Japan Shizutetsu Line
While walking along the Shizutetsu line I noticed the smooth curve of the rails which were nicely matched by the guard rail running along the road.

KBlog Special (Yokohama/Tokyo-Japan!) Day 2
Hey guys,
So day two is up! YAY
Still in Japan. You're welcome! lol
So, in this video I went to Yokohama's Chinatown. It was really cool. Since coming to Japan I never notice that Seoul doesn't have a Chinatown. WTF Korea, hope on that band wagon!
The world and culture in the area was amazing! I really wish we had one. It honestly has been making me think about maybe going to China this summer? o__O Will see.
After we got done in Chinatown we decided to head towards Odaiba, which is a big shopping metropolitan area. The whole island is man made. Tokyo is so crowded they had to build islands just so they can get more room.
The shopping was to expensive for my budget, but the view was totally worth it. If you guys ever come make sure you visit Odaiba.
For any of you Digimon nerds (which I am finding out there's very few of us), Odaiba is the island where the Fuji Television Building is at. FTB (for short) is the portal entrance to the digital world!
Anyways, enough of my nerdness we then headed back to Yokohama to have sushi. Kazuhiro wanted me to try really good sushi, so he warmed me the it would be crowded. But I wasn't expecting it to be as crowded as it was. The line to an hour just to get in. But it was delicious. EXCEPT FOR SEA URCHIN!!! ITS NASTY!!!
Day 3 to come up. I hope you guys are enjoying!!
