Oshima is a small island near Kushimoto town. It was only accesable by way of sea until 1999 when a loop bridge was built from main land to a small hill and then to the island. Now the island host two museumsÑ Turkish Museum, with remais of ertugrul shipwreck and american Memorial museum.
The island has beautiful forest and nature with amazing walking trails that take you to breath taking view points to admire the rugged sea landscape. Unique place to visit... although I recommend the car...

もう一つ紀伊半島の南端にある観光の名所です、
潮岬は本土と地続きなんですがここ串本大島は１キロ弱離れていて２０年ほど前に橋で繋がりました、
樫野埼灯台は日本最初の石造灯台、また映画にもなったトルコ軍艦の遭難者慰霊碑、などあまり知られていないが貴重な物が沢山ありました。
