This Kyaut Ka Latt Pagoda is known as the symbol of Hpa-an. This pagoda is not far from the center of Hpa-an, but it needs a bike or car. It takes a time for 15 mins.

It was is built on a small island in the middle of a lake situated in HPA-AN Township Kayin State, Mynamar. The Pagoda is surrounded by mountains and cultivated land and have a great view of reflections from the surrounding mountain “Zwekabin Mountain”.

This pagoda has an cave pagoda, and after going throw the cave, there is an observatory. The view is really beautiful, especially, the sunset is so beautiful. The time of the sunset is from 5 pm to 5:30 pm.

There are few places in Burma more surreal than Kyauk Ka Lat Pagoda (Pronouced a little like chocolate), which balances precariously on top of a limestone pinnacle at the centre of a manmade lake. This top-heavy rock formation tapers at the base, seeming to to defy gravity as it towers above the water.

Mount Zwegabin - Hpa-An Myanmar
Mount Zwegabin is located near Hpa-An, Myanmar.
At 725m above sea level, it is one of South Myanmar's loved places. The temple and monastery on top are favorite pilgrimage sites, involving a good climb up numerous stairs, through beautiful scenery.
Visitors can sleep on top as well as enjoy good food in a local restaurant.

Mount Zwegabin is one of the largest of the limestone mountains around Hpa An in Myanmar. This is a must do when you are in the region. It is among my best places to visit and recommended things to do in Myanmar!

Hpa-An is the Capital of Kayin State, homeland of the Karen people. The main attractions are scattered around the beautiful surroundings:
• Mt Zwegabin is the tallest of a chain of limestone mountains.
• Kyaung Kalap is pagoda and Nat shrine with a column, standing sheer out of a lake.
• Saddar Cave contains a pagoda near the entrance with many Buddha images. At the end of the cave is a hidden lake in the mountains
• Kawgun Cave has a gallery of 7th Century artwork with thousands of Buddha images.
