Maizuru Kamaboko Bus Pass (かまぼこ手形)
June 29th, 2014
We visited Maizuru's Natural Culture Garden (舞鶴自然文化園) to see the hydrangeas. We took the city bus there, but we used the Kamaboko pass. This one day pass is 1,000yen. It really is a great. It is made from wood so you can keep it as a memory. The ticket can only be bought at Higashi and Nishi Maizuru Stations.

“Fukuchiyama is a commercial city in northern Kyoto prefecture, Japan. The station is a junction of railways from Osaka and Kyoto to Sanin and Tango. Fukuchiyama is located in Fukuchiyama Basin, and two rivers: Yura and Haze run through the central part and merge near Fukuchiyama Castle. It has little snow in winter, but is foggy and cloudy in every morning.”

Japanese Insects with hydrangeas
While we were enjoying the hydrangeas at the Maizuru Natural Culture Gardens, we saw these two very different insects.
Wrong Bus?!
I was suppose to visit my visit school in the afternoon and I was going to take the bus so I could eat on the bus. I had this all planed out. While on the bus I noticed we did not take the normal turn and then we were near a junior high school that is not near my visit high school. Also, the bus fare was already over a allotted 300 yen. I got off and called a teacher from my visit school and told him that I got on the wrong bus and I need someone to be so kind and pick me up.
Sorry this is just an extreme close up of me. I am looking around because there were a lot of kids just staring at trying to figure out what I was doing.
