Places to see in ( Nancy - France ) L'arc Here
The arc Hera , also known as Hera door , is a building located in the town of Nancy , built in the xviii th century to the north of the Place Stanislas. The Héré arch is located on the north side of Place Stanislas, at the northern end of Héré Street and at the southern end of Place de la Carrière . The arc opens, from Place Stanislas, between the small pavilions, in the perspective of the Place de la Carrière and the Governor's Palace .
The Héré arch is built on the site of the old Royal Gate built by Louis XIV . This one is destroyed in 1752 by Stanislas and the work of construction of the arc takes place from 1753 to 1755 . The main theme of the setting is war and peace, symbolized by laurel and olive branches, allusions to the Battle of Fontenoy ( 1745 ) and the Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle (1748) .
Originally the arc was connected to the ramparts by galleries, the top of the arch was part of the walkway to meet the requirements of the military governor Marshal Belle-Isle. Having itself a role of fortification, the bow is very wide. The wall that surrounded it was shot about 1772 to the east ( nursery ) and in 1847 to the west ( place Vaudémont ); isolated, the door becomes a true triumphal arch.
It was designed by Emmanuel Héré. Raised on a pedestal and of Corinthian order , it is inspired by the Arch of Septimius Severus in Rome . It reproduces the arch of the Saint-Antoine gate in Paris drawn up in 1660 by Jean Marot. The monument is pierced by a large semicircular arch framed by two lower porches, each framed by columns. The central bay presents an advance on the facade.
The visible side from Stanislas Square is the most richly decorated. On the cornice, resuming the theme of war and peace, there are statues of Ceres , Minerva , Hercules (copy Hercules Farnese ) and Mars . In the center of the cornice is an acroterium supporting a group of three characters lead gilded and decorated with a medallion of Louis XV . The medallion is supported by Minerveon the left, as well as by a personification of peace on the right. At the back of the medallion is Fama, the Roman goddess of glory, holding a trumpet in her left hand and a laurel wreath in her right hand. All these statues were made by Guibal .
In December 1983 , archery, as well as the Place Stanislas and the Place de la Carrière that surround it, is ranked on the list of World Heritage of UNESCO. The inscription, made official at the seventh ordinary session of UNESCO, was selected for criteria (i): masterpiece of human creative genius and (iv): outstanding example of a type construction or architectural or technological ensemble or landscape illustrating a significant period (s) of human history .

Places to see in ( Nancy - France )
Nancy, a riverfront city in the northeastern French region of Grand Est, is known for its late baroque and art nouveau landmarks, some dating to its days as the former capital of the Duchy of Lorraine. Its focal point is the 18th-century Place Stanislas. This grand square, decorated with gilded wrought-iron gates and rococo fountains, rests by the ornate palaces and churches filling the city’s medieval old town.
Nancy is a moderate-sized city in the Lorraine region of (eastern) France. Nancy is the capital of the French département of Meurthe-et-Moselle, and one of the major economical cities of the Lorraine region. It is also a major French university center, with over 47,000 students and three major universities. Once the industrial and cultural powerhouse of Northeast France, the city boasts a very diverse architectural and cultural heritage. Parts of the historical city centre are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Delightful Nancy has an air of refinement found nowhere else in Lorraine. With a resplendent central square, fine museums, formal gardens and shop windows sparkling with Daum and Baccarat crystal, the former capital of the dukes of Lorraine catapults you back to the riches of the 18th century, when much of the city centre was built. Nancy has long thrived on a combination of innovation and sophistication. The art-nouveau movement flourished here (as the Nancy School) thanks to the rebellious spirit of local artists, who set out to prove that everyday objects could be drop-dead gorgeous.
Place Stanislas, the town square has a Stanislas statue pointing to the north and fountains and wrought iron gates in the two northern corners. The Old City, including the St-Epvre basilique and square with many cafés and restaurants (Place St-Epvre). La Porte de la Craffe, Grand Rue. 14th century gate at the edge of the Vieille Ville, with two towers giving it the look of a fairy-tale castle.
Place de la Carriere and Place d'Alliance together with Place Stanislas are a single entry on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Place de la Carriere is a tree-lined square with notable buildings around it. Place d'Alliance has a central fountain, modelled after those in Piazza Navona in Rome. Arc de Triomphe, also known as the Arc Here after its architect, is located along the northern side of the Place Stanislas, leading to the Place de la Carriere. It was built at the same time as the Place Stanislas, in honor of King Louis XV.
Musée des Beaux-Arts (Museum of Fine Arts) at place Stanislas, Musée de l'Ecole de Nancy, 36-38, rue du Sergent Blandan , Art-nouveau Nancy school of architecture. Musée Historique Lorrain (Museum of Lorraine History) reduced hours inthe winter. History of the Lorraine region. (You might also want to check out the neighboring Musée des Arts et Traditions populaires.)
Parc de la Pépinière - A 50 acre square park in the heart of the city. It was once used as a garden to grow trees for other parks/green areas in Nancy and the region. Parc Sainte-Marie, (Access : 38bis avenue du Maréchal Juin, rue Dupont des Loges, avenue Boffrand. Take bus 134-135 and stop at Dupont des Loges). A nice park, southwest of the city centre. Jardin Botanique du Montet, 100, rue du Jardin Botanique 54600 VILLERS-LÈS-NANCY (Take bus 134-135 direction ''Lycée Stanislas until the end of the bus line'')
Parc de la Cure d'Air - A small park, located on a hill northwest of the city centre. The park itself is not very interesting, however there is a great view over the whole city. Les jardins d'eau - A pleasant promenade along the canal. Near the marina.

NANCY du médiéval au baroque XIVème XVIIIème
visite de la ville des Ducs de Lorraine du XIVème au XVIIIème siècle
Les Feuilles d'or
7 mai 1976
Images d'archive INA

ARC'QUATIQUE - 200 poissons suspendus
Du 23 nov. 2018 au 6 jan. 2019
Assistante : Karen Hanny - Stagiaires : Yohann Pomian, Arthur Lambert, Izia Vanhecke, Christine Hoffmann, Perrine Kuhn, Lorianne Blondiaux, Cécile Bine, Amadeo Cervone, Diego Mestanza...

Southern France - Gorges de l'Ardèche
The Gorges de l'Ardèche is a series of gorges in the river Ardèche, in southern France. It's a about thirty-kilometre long canyon and most of it is protected by the Réserve Naturelle Gorges de l'Ardèche. It's a stunning landscape there. Big rocks, a lot of shrubbery and the river itself of course. Totally worth it to go there ! :)

Lyrics
JESY
I always say what I’m feeling
I was born without a zip on my mouth
Sometimes I don't even mean it
It takes a little while to figure me out
LEIGH
I like my coffee with two sugars in it
High heels and my jewellery dripping
Drink and I get all fired up, hey, hey, hey
Insecure but I’m working with it
Many things that I could get rid of
Ain’t about to give it up
JADE
I made a few mistakes I regret it nightly
I broke a couple hearts that I wear on my sleeve
My momma always said, “girl you’re trouble” and
And now I wonder could you fall for a woman like me
PERRIE
And every time we touch boy you make me feel weak
I can tell you’re shy and I think you’re so sweet
Spending every night under covers and
Still I wonder could you fall for a woman like me
CHORUS
Woman like me, like a woman like me, la la la
Woman like me, like a woman like me, la la la
Woman like me, like a woman like me, la la la
Woman like me, like a woman like me
JESY
And baby just be mine for the weekend
We can get a takeaway and sit on the couch
Or we could just go out for the evening
Hopefully end up with you kissing my mouth
LEIGH
You got them blue jeans with a rip up in them
My hair with your fingers in it
Love it when you turn me on
Yoncé with a little bit of
Love drunk in the middle with it
Get down to our favourite song
Spending every night under covers and
Still I wonder could you fall for a woman like me
CHORUS
NICKI (RAP)
Woman like me
Yes a woman like me
Soon as I brush up on him
I could tell he like me
You know all the mandem a try to swipe me
Knotted up he could afford to ice me
Tell’em it’s a bad trini bitch in ah ya area
But the more bad bitches then the more merrier
Baddies to my left and to the right a little scarier
Rude boy tell me can you handle all this derriere?
A million I’m getting my billy on
Greatest of all time cus I’m a chameleon
I switch it up for every era, I’m really bomb
These bitches really wanna be Nicki
I’m really mom
Apple cut the check I want all this money
Seven up go grip the tech
And leave all this bloody
It’s the queen and Little Mix
Skated on them. Sorry
My daddy is Indian- swish
all this Curry
Woman like me, like a woman like me, la la la
Woman like me, like a woman like me
JADE
I made a few mistakes I regret it nightly,
I broke a couple hearts that I wear on my sleeve,
My Mumma always said, “girl you’re trouble” and
And now I wonder could you fall for a woman like me,
PERRIE
And every time we touch boy you make me feel weak,
I can tell you’re shy and I think you’re so sweet,
Spending every night under covers
