Small Herd of White Tailed Deer - La Chua Trail, Gainesville, FL
Things To Do in Florida: La Chua Trail ????(where birds dine on frogs) ????
???????? ???????? Things To Do in Florida: Hawthorne-Gainesville La Chua Trail ???????? In our Things To Do in Florida series we were able to combine two of our favorite actives: biking and exploring nature — all in one spectacular day! We biked from Hawthorne towards Gainesville. When arriving near the Gainesville end you will find the entrance to La Chua spur. Amongst the Things To Do in Florida, the La Chua spur is only a short ½ mile walk on a boardwalk, but once there, we were stunned at how much nature is crammed into this small area. You will love this trail if: ❤️You love the outdoors ❤️ You love walking / biking ❤️ You love watching wildlife ❤️ You love photographing nature.

Paynes Prairie Preserve – Gainesville Florida – Exploratory day trip May 07, 2015
A nice park with some interesting features. Thanks goes to the ranger at the main entrance (am) who suggested I check out the La Chua trail area. I probably would not have visited that area if he hadn't suggested it. I'm going to research and see if there is a best season to see the bison and horses. Would be cool to see them in the wild...
