Chianciano Terme is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Siena in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 90 kilometres southeast of Florence and about 50 kilometres southeast of Siena. It is located between the Valdichiana and the Val d'Orcia.
Chianciano Terme borders the following municipalities: Chiusi, Montepulciano, Pienza, Sarteano.
La Foce is a large estate that lies close to the towns of Montepulciano, Chiusi, and Chianciano Terme in the Southern Tuscan region of Val d'Orcia midway between Florence and Rome.
La Foce, situated on the Via Francigena (the ancient road and pilgrim route running from France to Rome), has been inhabited continuously for many centuries. The Villa at La Foce was built in the late 15th Century as a hospice for pilgrims and merchants traveling on the Via Francigena.
La Foce is located near an Etruscan settlement, and on the property, a burial-place dating from the 7th century BC to the 2nd century AD has been excavated.

Elegant wedding at La Foce, Tuscany
Two days in the heart of Tuscany, where Francesca and Max celebrated their love with their family and friends. Highlight, their gorgeous wedding, in one of the most breathtaking venues of Italy.
Tuscany is one of our favorite destinations, we love it every time more and for us, as well for Francesca and Max, is a place of peacefulness and tranquility.
No better way to introduce everyone to the beauty of Tuscany, than a rustic and chill, BBQ welcome party at Borgo di Castelvecchio.
Overlooking the Val d’Orcia, facing Pienza, very close to Montalcino and Montepulciano, Borgo di Castelvecchio was the ideal setting for everyone to mingle, enjoy the marvelous wine and get more excited for the big day that would follow.
The wedding day started with everyone getting ready at the magnificent La Foce, which would also be today’s venue.
Villa La Foce is an Italian Historic House and its gardens are world-famous. It lies on the hills over Val d’Orcia, a beautiful and miraculously intact valley in Southern Tuscany. Midway between Florence and Rome, it is also within easy reach of medieval gems such as Pienza, Montepulciano, Monticchiello and Montalcino.
The wedding ceremony took place in Pienza, in the cathedral of the main square. As we were arriving we could see the weather getting worse and only minutes before Francesca arrived a heavy rain started, making everyone anxious.
Overcoming everything and with a huge smile, Francesca made her entrance and their lovely ceremony started, to finish with the sun shining and their beautiful exit.
We headed back to La Foce, where at the beautiful garden, everyone enjoyed their cocktails and Prosecco’s, with the gentle sounds of the saxophone by The SaxMan, as the sun was setting behind the hills.
The candlelit dinner was amazing, with beautiful flowers and details, that created a warm and elegant atmosphere.
Once DJ Jayli from HedKandi, with The SaxMan and their crazy drummer started playing, the party begun and everyone danced the night away celebrating for Francesca and Max.
Always a pleasure to work with the talented and passionate Jules Bower in photography and kudos to Sabrina, for planning everything in perfection.
Can’t thank Francesca and Max enough, not only for trusting us to capture such a special moment in their lives, but for letting us get to know how warm and sweet people they are. We wish you nothing but the best for your life together, keep holding hands and never let go.
Enjoy!

Charles and Alice met in 2008, when they were both working in Hong Kong. He said “I love you” in two weeks, and asked her to move in with him in two months. Against all odds, their fledgling relationship survived three years of long distance (one of which was from Hong Kong to Ann Arbor!), and they moved in together in NYC in 2012 with their fur babies, Pepper and Bella.
In 2015, Charles asked Alice’s mom and dad for permission to marry her, and proposed over Labor Day Weekend on a lake in upstate New York.
The bride and groom wanted a small intimate wedding with just their closest friends and immediate family. They took a roadtrip through France and Italy to visit venues and fell in love with Tuscany and the gardens of La Foce.
May 28, 2017 was everything Alice and Charles could have hoped for. The bride chose two gowns, a more structured Anna Maier for the ceremony in the gardens and a romantic Oscar de la Renta for dinner and dancing. She paired both with strappy Vince Camuto platform sandals.
Wedding planner Federica Beni of HoneyCinnamonWed and her team oversaw every last detail, makeup artist and hair stylist Lara Navarrini made sure the bride was always camera ready, florist Isa Events created bouquets and centerpieces that set the mood perfectly, string quartet Alma Project wowed the guests with their original arrangements, caterer Guidi Lenci prepared an excellent meal that guests raved about, DJ Wedding Music and Lights kept guests dancing well into the night, and photographer Greg Finck and videographer Marco Abba captured every happy moment.

The Val d'Orcia, or Valdorcia, is a region of Tuscany, central Italy, which extends from the hills south of Siena to Monte Amiata. Its gentle, cultivated hills are occasionally broken by gullies and by picturesque towns and villages such as Pienza (rebuilt as an ideal town in the 15th century under the patronage of Pope Pius II),[1] Radicofani (home to the notorious brigand-hero Ghino di Tacco) and Montalcino (the Brunello di Montalcino is counted among the most prestigious of Italian wines).[2] Its landscape has been depicted in works of art from Renaissance painting to modern photography.
Val d'Orcia has been a location for many well-known films, including:
1963 8½ by Federico Fellini
1972 Brother Sun, Sister Moon by Franco Zeffirelli
1983 Nostalghia by Andrei Tarkovsky
1996 The English Patient by Anthony Minghella
1996 Stealing Beauty by Bernardo Bertolucci
1999 A Midsummer Night's Dream by Michael Hoffman

Adeyto ???????? ICONIC DESTINATION VILLA CIMBRONE RAVELLO AMALFI COAST ITALY ????️ Huawei P20 PRO
Lucky to get some sunshine for the visit to Villa Cimbrone that stands on a rocky outcrop known as Cimbronium in the town of Ravello, and it is from this landscape feature that the villa takes its name. The earliest references to the villa date back to the eleventh century AD, when the villa belonged to the Accongiogioco, a noble family. While contemplating from those Armida's orchards, among the roses and the hydrangeas, that magic sea in which the blue colour of a very limpid sky is reflected, the wish of being able to fly comes out ... Right at the edge of the crag there was a terrace commanding an enchanting view; it was surrounded by horrible marble statues which, however, from afar, had a sort of appeal.
Much altered and extended in the early twentieth century by the British banker Ernest William Beckett, the villa is today composed of many salvaged architectural elements from other parts of Italy and elsewhere; little of the original structure remains visible.
The gardens were redeveloped by Beckett at the same time. The villa is now a hotel, its gardens open to the public. Beckett died in London in 1917 and his body was brought to Villa Cimbrone to be buried at the base of the Temple of Bacchus in the gardens
Many famous visitors came to the villa during the Beckett family's ownership. It was a favourite haunt of the Bloomsbury Group, including Virginia Woolf, Leonard Woolf, E. M. Forster, John Maynard Keynes, and Lytton Strachey. Other visitors included D. H. Lawrence, Vita Sackville-West, Edward James, Diana Mosley, Henry Moore, T. S. Eliot, Jean Piaget, Winston Churchill and the Duke and Duchess of Kent. The actress Greta Garbo and her then-lover, the conductor Leopold Stokowski, stayed at the villa several times in the late 1930s.
