Meeting 13 - Pre-Season Practice
We had this meeting the day before school started. We just hadn't had one for a week or two and wanted to meet as soon as possible. This is the first video that we have of Draven since he hurt his knee. He heard about us riding in the elevator with Dylan and just HAD to do it, so we took him over to the parking garage.
We wanted to find some new stuff to ride on, so we took a different route than normal to get to the theater. We found a beginner 3 set of stairs in front of Towne Fitness and let Draven try them. While we were riding we saw a little Chinese girl plastered to the window with her mouth wide open staring at us ride. It was hilarious! We saw our soccer coach and Ryan's seminary teacher there, also.
We thought it was a good idea to ride around the fountains. Hey! It was hot; If we fell in it would feel good! We also wanted to pick on Keith and try to throw him in the fountain. He's gonna be a freshman tomorrow; we have to be good people and prepare him for highschool!
After Draven left Ryan, Kevin, and Keith went over to Mighty Joe's for lunch. Kevin bought us two slices of pizza and a random customer gave us two of his party's extra slices. It was awesome! Draven definitely missed out.
Music: Dance Dance by Fallout Boys and Vertigo by U2.
In this video: Keith Jourden, Ryan West, and Kevin Jourden, Draven Whitaker.

Monroeville Alabama - Monroe County Heritage Museum
Monroeville, Alabama - Monroe County Heritage Museum
The old Monroe County Courthouse (now the Monroe County Heritage Museum), designed by prominent Southern architect, Andrew Bryan, was built between 1903 and 1904. The Courthouse is one of two building designed by Bryan (a sister courthouse in LaGrange, Georgia was destroyed by fire), with the architectural style of Romanesque with a Georgian influence. The courthouse was the seat of most county offices and the site of court cases until the construction of the the new courthouse was completed in 1963. Today the building is on the National Historic Register and is a national literary Mecca.
The old courthouse resembles the 1930s courtroom used for Harper Lee's fictional courtroom settings in To Kill a Mockingbird. Although the movie was not filmed here, the interior of the courthouse was used as a reference for the film version of the book, and houses the later acts of the amateur production.
This is a three-part series on Monroeville, Alabama.

Georgia's Grand Canyon or Providence Canyon State Park
#Georgia #farminggonewrong #georgiagrandcanyon #littlegrandcanyon
Did you know that Georgia has its very own Grand Canyon? Well, it’s not exactly The Grand Canyon, but it looks like The Grand Canyon. Sort of...
Caroline and I visited Georgia’s Grand Canyon, or Providence Canyon State Park to do some hiking in the world famous miserable heat of Southwest Georgia. I don’t know how we survived. In fact, I don’t know how I survived basic training, or AIT, at Fort Benning Georgia twenty years ago.
Speaking of Fort Benning, Caroline and I stopped by Sand Hill, and the Infantry Museum on the way to Providence State Park. I’m releasing that video in a few days. For now, enjoy watching Caroline and I battle heat strokes at the bottom of a Georgia canyon! Links to follow!
