Labadi Beach is where the beach action is within Accra. There are several bars and food joints to sit or lie down (optional under parasols). Most of the bars playing also loud music. Flying traders are offering their goods (mostly local art) and services, like manicure, pedicure, massages, dance shows etc. This makes the beach sub-optimal for sun bathers and i love to ride horses and eat all day!!!!

Ghana beach beauty is a true reflection of what Ghana beaches once were. Most of those filmed are no longer existing due to land erosion. The sea takes back what it wants.
On the coast of Ghana, West Africa, a a luxurious resort has been built at the place where we recorded some of the footage earlier. It is called White Sands Beach Resort.
Miles of stretches of unspoilt virgin beaches on the in front of you in the Kako lagoon, which is of extreme beauty.
White Sands Beach Resortis just adjacent to the beach, so access is easy. Ghana s beaches are different from other countries, they are more clean and remain mostly naturally beautiful.
The historic village of Gomoah Fetteh lies next to it, a base of the former British colonial rulers.
One can consume local fish delicacies including lobsters, groupa, the occasional red snapper, and other fish species which are found here.
There are coconut trees lined up along the beach, and one can ask the local population youngsters to fetch some for consumption.
one can find the 5 star property of Labadi beach hotel which is on the same stretch of beach further down towards Teshie Nungua.
The footage shows a small animal zoo, where duker antelope, green monkeys are kept for the visitor to the beach.

Labadi Beach or more properly known as La Pleasure Beach is the busiest beach on Ghana's coast. It is one of Accra's beaches and is maintained by the local hotels. Labadi Beach is in a town called La, popularly known as Labadi, near Teshie in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. An entrance fee to those not staying in the hotels is charged. On holidays and weekends there are often performances of reggae, hiplife, playback, and cultural drumming and dancing.

It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Accra and is maintained by local hotels. Labadi Beach is near Teshie in the Greater Accra region of Ghana. An entry fee will be charged for those who do not stay in hotels. On holidays and weekends, there are often reggae, reading and percussion shows as well as cultural dances. In 2014, the Community is still closely monitored by the Community to alleviate the continuing problem of open defecation on the beach. Suggestions for the construction of additional sanitary facilities to solve this problem were brought to the attention of the local council and hotels near the beach.
The capital, Accra, is a vibrant but often misunderstood city, a heaving metropolis of food stalls and football shirts, music and markets, swish hotels and swirling street life. It has a few big sights as such but makes for an engaging introduction to the country as a whole. Further along the coast, there’s just as much to absorb in seaside settlements like Cape Coast, once a slave port but now a cultural destination in its own right. Its dark past is a testament to the various European powers that at different times held sway in the region.

Our family of 7 traveled 1000s of miles to visit Ghana and one thing we hoped to do was visit their beaches. We were so excited to finally visit a beach in Ghana and although we all had a blast it was disheartening seeing all of the plastic in the ocean water. Then we visited Independence Square and had VIP access to the rooftop where the infamous Black Star of Ghana sits. Enjoy! ????

Ghana - Sakumono Beach On Easter Monday (4) - Accra, Ghana (April 2010)
This is clip (1) of (4) of our group's trip down to Sakumono Beach (or Mighty Beach, as I believe it is called locally), on Easter Monday of 2010.
This is very typical of a public holiday in Ghana, where Ghanaians flock to the beach. Indeed, the beaches are very crowded, and often difficult just to get to.
In this clip, I take Eli's three-year old son down so he can get in the water. However, he was a little small for the waves, so as they came in, we stood out of the water so he wasn't exposed to any danger.
The day ends, and we head back up to the car, but on the way we film an area of the beach that has been turned into a dance floor, with music pumping in the background. Eli also gets more gratuitous footage of the female anatomy for fans of his camerawork.
