Paihia, Haruru Falls And The Drive To Hokianga Harbour
As you head towards the opening to the harbour you are confronted with what has to be the largest sand dune I've ever saw in my life - enormous. We stop the car several times to take photos and video. The sand here is perfect powder. We stop a while and watch a man as he fishes from the waters edge, soak up the sun, the tranquility and the smell of the flora and fauna - before we move on, passing simple wooden baches and architect designed houses - all with views out over the harbour.
