Coaling Wharf Diorama, Ladysmith BC - Part Two
This little video and slide show is Part Two of Three about the construction of the coaling wharf diorama for the Ladysmith Maritime Museum. The actual wharf was part of the Dunsmuir coaling empire on Vancouver Island up until the early 1930's. Several very dedicated volunteers took over the project after the original builder passed away. There is still much to do but we are almost finished. Part Three will incorporate the history and construction of diorama and other components.

MyLadysmith.com had a great time at the 16th annual Ladysmith Show and Shine car show.
200 different cars, trucks and motorcycles lined first Ave in Ladysmith BC. Hot rods, classic cars, muscle cars were on display.
The owners were more than friendly showing and talking about their babies.
Great job to all who put this great event together!

Known as the Wizard of Ladysmith, Art Williams is most known as a mastermind of a synthetic drug empire complete with secret labs and tunnels. Seven years and over a million dollars later the police thought they had their man...but a mysterious plane crash left many people believing that ARt had flown the coop and was resting on a sunny beach. What many people don't know about Art is that he was an accomplished archer and manufactured world-class bows that can be still be viewed at the Ladysmith Museum and in private collections. Interviewer Rob Johnson talks to author Daryl Ashby who spent 10 years researching and writing the book 85 Grams: The story of Art WIlliams: Drug Czar. The book is available at local boosktores as well as Indigo and Amazon.
