Laem Prathap
Ban Laem Prathap is a small fishing village nestled on a cape at the very top end of Nakhon Si Thammarat province in Southern Thailand. It features one of the finest – usually deserted – beaches in the region.
While traveling through Thailand we were told of a place in Northern Nakhon Si Tammarat in the Kanom District called LEAM PRATHAP that there were PINK DOLPHINS. Nisma and I had only seen Gray Dolphins in the movies and on TV shows so we were curious to explore if this was true or fake. We got up early one morning and traveled to Leam Prathap and boarded a long boat in search of the PINK DOLPHINS. It was a great ride and we saw a lot of really beautiful sights along the way. We also saw some dolphins. You be the judge of the color. Check out our other videos from that day. If you are ever in Northern Nakhon Si Tammarat in the Kanom District go visit LEAM PRATHAP. It is a great day outing and the people are extremely nice.

About 8km to the east from Don Sak ferry pier in Suratthani province are Cape Prathap and Thong Nien bay which belong to Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The bay area runs dry on low tide and was some years ago used for making the singular beach golf course.
Today the very small and quiet little village at Cape Prathap is the starting point for pink dolphin watching tours and visits to a remarkable geological formation of rocks folded in layers along the coastline in the direction of Don Sak.
