Lake Kanayama Lavender Garden

The Lake Kanayama Lavender Garden in Minamifurano Town is a little-known place to see rare lavender fields on a lakeside. You can enjoy the spectacular contrast of purple lavenders against the blue lake and the green mountains. It is also much less crowded compared to the other famous lavender spots in the Furano area. The lavenders usually bloom from mid-July to early August.

There is also a campground nearby.

In the autumn, I enjoyed walking while enjoying autumn leaves.

Kanayama Dam is a hollow gravity type dam with a cavity inside and it is the only rare form of dam in Hokkaido.

金山ダムです。
近くにはキャンプ場もあります。
夏にはパークゴルフ。

冬になるとワカサギ釣りもできます。

金山ダムは内部に空洞を持った中空重力式ダムで北海道唯一の珍しい形式のダムとなっています。

This is a video slideshow of images from my September 2010 test and training ride to Onuma National Park in southern Hokkaido. I was training for a longer tour and this was a great opportunity to try out my new iBex BoB trailer for a 4-day weekend of cycling and camping. The weather was perfect, the beer was cold, and the sunsets were nothing short of spectacular!

南富良野町のかなやま湖で毎年、７月最終土曜日、日曜日に開催されるお祭りです。
例年花火は、2000発のようですが今年は5000発の花火が上がりとても綺麗で迫力のある花火を堪能できました。

ナイアガラが有名で、道内一の700mのナイアガラ花火を見ることができます。

今回、ナイアガラ花火を撮っているつもりだのですが、カメラのピントを合わせているうちに録画が切れてしまい、ナイアガラ花火をとることはできませんでした。

また、来年に来れたらナイアガラ花火を見に来ようと思います。

かなやま湖　湖水祭りでは、例年富良野近郊のおいしいものを出店で出してご当地メニューで競い合いをしているようなので、今度は食事の方も楽しんでみたいなと思いました。

It is a festival held every Sunday in July on Saturday and Sunday in Kanayama Lake in Minamifurano Town.
Although fireworks seems to be 2000 fireworks every year, fireworks of 5000 fireworks have risen this year and I was able to enjoy the powerful fireworks very beautiful.

Niagara is famous and you can see Niagara fireworks of 700 meters long in Hokkaido.

I am planning to take a Niagara fireworks this time, but I could not take the Niagara fireworks because the recording was expired while I was focusing on the camera.

Also, I will come to see Niagara fireworks if I can come next year.

At the Lake Kanayama Lake Water Festival, it seems that we compete in the local menu by opening out delicious items in the vicinity of Furano every year, so I thought that I would like to enjoy the meal this time.

かなやま湖畔キャンプ場・オートキャンプ場「北海道南富良野町」

湖畔沿いがキャンプ場、道路を挟んで奥がオートキャンプ場になっている。平地に沢山のテントを並べて貼れること、充実したステージがあり学校や団体のレクリエーション、ライブなどのイベントにもに好都合、バンガロー料金も非常に安い。※かつて金山湖と言えば幻の淡水魚イトウ釣りのメッカとされてきたが最近では、あまり耳にしない。
