Kings Beach - Sunshine Coast QLD
Kings Beach is fit for a King... and his family. There are plenty of BBQ spots and playgrounds for the kids so on weekends and public holidays you will have to be early to find a spot.
Kings Beach is also very well patrolled and offers a sheltered swimming pool all year round. The boat ramp can be a great place to launch your tinny or kayak.

Hi Bee Huang! Thanks for watching ;)
Kings Beach - Sunshine Coast
Kings Beach has beautiful clean white sand and great surfing and is patrolled by life guards. Family friendly park nearby, plenty of shady trees, Pool adjacent to the Beach. Lots of eating places nearby. Kids water spout feature and playground nearby. Plus, the beach is protected from the northern winds in the summer, which is convenient for surfers. A unique element of Kings Beach is the amphitheater, and you can sometimes enjoy musicians playing right on the beach.

700 Pound Snake Pulled out of Lake in North Carolina
Giant 700 pound snake caught in lake in Proctor, North Carolina. The giant man eating python was measured at 98 feet long. Police were contacted to see if there have been any recently filed missing person reports as a snake this big could have surely eaten a human.
This giant snake is massive and just gorgeous, but it didn't take long to find out that the STORY behind it... was fake, just another hoax.
While the image is indeed real, I think the size of the giant snake could have been exaggerated due to the camera angle
Nevertheless, this snake is still huge, but where did it come from? The markings on it's skin looks similar to that of a reticulated python native to Southeast Asia. After playing around with a little Google translate, the mystery was finally solved.
This giant python came from Indonesia and after some rough translating, it turns out that it was discovered this last Thanksgiving near the village of Belinyu City. It was found by accident by a group of construction workers who severely injured the reptile while knocking down a large dead tree in which the python was sleeping inside of. The workers put the dying snake out of it's misery and buried it.
It's sad to see such an incredible animal killed, especially one that could have been a new world record size. I wish there were more pictures so we could get a better idea of just how large it was.
I really enjoyed learning about this amazing snake, if you guys have any cool wildlife stories or interesting animals that you think I might enjoy, tell me about it on Facebook

STORYLINE: In this AU A never fully accepted M's sorcery, and he died without saying thank you or anything. Because M loved him so much, he still waits for him, living near the lake of Avalon for hundreds of years waiting. He recounts his and A's relationship to his friend, Fred, who encourages him to look for A. M and A find each other but because M is unsure how A feels about his magic, he is very apprehensive and keeps refusing A's attempts at reconnecting, and thus they watch each other from a distance. After a while of thinking about each other and their past lives, it becomes too much for A to bear and goes to M. After some reminiscing on M's part, he gives in and he and A work things out. The end is supposed to be like M picking A up, a symbol of his devotion and the new start to their new relationship in the present. In the flashback M is pushing A away in the boat, and now he is drawing him back in.
I just really wanted to do this? I haven't really done a modern AU before so be nice? :P And that's all I have to say about that.

This is based off of an amazing fanfic i read (link below)!
Katie, a writer, moves back home after losing her job and works in a shop while she tries to come up with a new book idea. Everyday she sees this old man sitting on a bench by the water just staring off into it. One day a young man comes into the shop and reveals himself as the old man she had been watching, explaining that he has magic. M decides to confide in Katie and they become friends. One day M begins to hear A calling out to him and he races to the lake. Katie finally gets the book idea she had been searching for.
I'm not too pleased with this one but I hope you like it anyway :/

The right way to kill a fish
The most popular way to kill fish isn’t great for the fish — or our taste buds.

Most fish die the same way — slow suffocation in the open air. It’s easy for fishers, but it causes fish tons of stress, and floods their bodies with chemicals like cortisol, adrenaline, and lactic acid. Those chemicals make the fish taste bad, smell “fishy,” and rot quickly.
But there's a better way: a four-step Japanese method called ikejime. It involves sharp knives. And a brain spike.
We adapted this video from Vox’s Future Perfect podcast, which goes much more in depth on ikejime:
Cat Ferguson wrote a detailed article on the process at Topic:
