캐나다 레이크 루이스 관광 곤돌라(Lake Louise sightseeing Gondola)
캐나다 알버트주 밴프국립공원에 있는 레이크 루이스 스키장은 세계에서 겨울 스키어들이 가장 선호하는 스키장이다. 화이트혼(Whitehorn) 산에서 만들어지는 슬로프(Slop)만도 145개가 넘는다고 한다. 여름철 눈 앞에 전개되는 레이크 루이스(Lake Louise)와 뒷 산들의 아름다운 광경에 넋을 잃게 된다. 그렇게 큰 레이크루이스 호수가 조그만하게 보이고 웅장한 산들이 천년설을 간직하고 잇다.

We join Mark Unrau from Photography School of the Rockies as he briefly explains some of our non-ski activities suitable for photographers.

Nous sommes arrivés tôt sur ce site et avons ainsi pu nous prévaloir d'une offre très avantageuse. Le coût du billet pour la montée en gondole est de 34,95 $. Pour 4 $ de plus, le petit déjeuner buffet est inclus (de 8h à 11h). Nous avons donc profité de ce forfait.
Nous nous sommes ensuite dirigés vers la remontée mécanique et sommes embarqués dans un télésiège pour nous rendre jusqu'au sommet de la montagne (voir vidéo
La montée se fait tout doucement et nous donne l'opportunité d'admirer le paysage et peut-être même d'apercevoir un grizzly.
Nous n'en avons vu aucun, mais il arrive fréquemment d'en voir dans ce secteur.
Le sommet se trouve à 2088 m d'altitude et offre une vue sensationnelle sur le lac Louise et le Glacier Victoria.
De nombreuses possibilités de randonnée sont offertes, allant de courtes promenades aux excursions d'une journée.
On retrouve également au sommet un centre d'interprétation ainsi qu'un restaurant dont la terrasse offre une superbe vue panoramique de toute la région.
Nous sommes demeurés environ 1 heure au sommet afin d'explorer les alentours et avons repris le télésiège pour redescendre au bas de la montagne.
Durant la descente, on profite d'un décor tout simplement enchanteur. Il faut dire que ce centre de ski a tout pour plaire. Il est situé dans une superbe vallée et les Rocheuses enneigées se dressent fièrement en arrière-plan.

Larch Trees at The Lake Louise Gondola
For a short time in the fall the Lake Louise area turns spectacularly golden! One of the best and easiest ways to see larch trees is by riding the Lake Louise Gondola and hiking the 1.7km return 'Kicking Horse viewpoint' trail. The trail is well maintained but does have a steep section.
With the largest parking lot in the area, incredibly good value ride and dine packages and the mid-mountain Whitehorn Lodge what are you waiting for? The Larches don't stay golden for long!

Lake Louise tourism opportunities are a dream come true for snow lovers. The Lake Louis ski area has a whopping 42 acres of mountain terrain and well over 100 marked trails. Snowboarders are also welcome to make their way down the mountain. What better way to do some Lake Louise sightseeing than on the back of a dogsled? Dogsledding is a true adventure, taking you through forest trails.

Spontaneous Lake Louise Trip! Winter at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
Surprised Nat with a trip to Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada! We left from Los Angeles (LAX) on Friday, Nov. 8 and flew Air Canada to the Calgary Airport (YYC).
We stayed at Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel on Friday night, then took the Brewster Express from the terminal to Lake Louise (stopped in Banff along the way).
We stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise on Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights, enjoying the hotel, the restaurants (Fairview, especially) and a hike around Lake Louise.
On Monday we took a day trip to Banff, where we checked out the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel, and rode the Banff Gondola up to the top of the mountain (and took the boardwalk to the Sulphur Mountain peak in Banff National Park).
A great trip and we can't recommend the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in the shoulder season/winter highly enough!
