Murtoa Lake Marma
Dropped my mother home after Christmas and spend some time at the local park. Also came across another drone haha! Didn't manage to get any footage of them as didn't want them crashing into us or us into them!

This is the first service to pass through the station since the refurbished building was completed by Delahuntys Builders and passed for occupancy again after many years of neglect. Works were carried out under the VicTrack Community Use of Vacant Rail Buildings Program. The building will be used as part of the Murtoa Historical Society's magnificent museum, and opened to visitors in the coming months.

Murtoa Stick Shed
The Murtoa Stick Shed was built in 1941 to stock pile grain during the war. It is the only remaining shed of this type left. It is located in Murtoa, Victoria, Australia.
The shed is open to the public once per year and for special events. The inside images in this video were taken during one of the public open days.
Trackside: A Day in the Wimmera at Murtoa & Marmalake- 9/8/16
Apologies for the amount of wind noise in these clips, due to the vast expanses without trees, there's very little shelter from it. I need to get an external microphone with a proper wind muff one day, hopefully soon...
Most of these shots have a long lead in, due to me wanting to emphasize how far you can actually see out there, the shot of the Overland at taken Marmalake being a prime example- you can see down past Lubeck, which is 18 kilometres away!

Stick Shed 360 Story
The Murtoa Stick Shed contains 516 Mountain Ash poles from the Dandenong Ranges, which run from ceiling to floor. The highest one in the centre is 19 metres tall. The Stick Shed was a massive grain repository from the 1940s. Grain was emptied from nearby grain silos by rail trucks, and once at the Stick Shed site were loaded onto a hopper via a large bucket. The grain was poured into the shed and reached the top of the walls. Now it is out of commission, but at one time the Stick Shed could hold 92,000 tons of grain – give or take a foot. Up to 70 men were employed in the Stick Shed at the height of its production. Now the Stick Shed is empty but the concrete floors, beautiful Ash poles, diagonal ropes from ceiling to floor, and ambient lighting highlighting particles of dust, are all evocative of past times.

The stick shed , Murtoa, Victoria, Australia
An amazing grain shed was built in 1941 as a solution for grain storage during WWII when there was a wheat glut, when exports were restricted. There was once a bigger grain shed beside this one but it was demolished in 1975. What an amazing building this is, it is definitely worth visiting. (Murtoa, Victoria, Australia)
