A few videos of Lake Minnewanka I took while on holiday
Skating with the Stars, Lake Louise, Banff National Park.
We had a flash freeze and for two days the skating at Lake Louise in Banff National Park was the best I had ever experienced. So I was messing around with my new iPhone 11 Max and had a DJI OSMO 2 steady cam/gimbal. Rather than sit on this and do nothing I thought I would lay a track down and add some clips. It is not well done because I am short on time. So without further ado, here is 20 minutes of editing.
WONDERFUL LAKE MINNEWANKA || BANFF || ALBERTA CANADA 2017 || TKW CANADA || MLAKU'' NENG DANAU
Hi....Nk's viewer
In this video i'd like to show all of you one of wonderful lake in Canada. It's called LAKE MINNEWANKA.....ENJOY MY VIDEO
MY LOVELY VIEWER......
Lake Minnewanka is a large glacial lake 5 km from the town of Baff. The lake is 21 kilometres (13 miles) long and 142 metres (466 feet) deep. It is a beautiful spot, popular for picnicking, mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, diving, and snowshoeing.
For over 100 centuries, people have camped and hunted along the original shores of Lake Minnewanka. The indigenous Stoney Nakoda First Nations people called it Minn-waki (Lake of the Spirits) because they respected and feared the lake for its resident spirits. Early European settlers later named it Devil’s Lake.

A fun dive on the submerged dam.
Ice Diving Lake Minnewanka Banff
Lake Minnewanka is located near Banff in Banff National Park. It is a large glacial lake about 21 kilometers long and 142 meters deep. It is a tourist attraction year-round from summer boat cruises hiking and other activities it has been also a very popular location for scuba divers from Calgary Alberta and nearby towns. Underwater to explore there is quite a few things to name a few. Underwater old Bridge pilings, 1912 Old Dam that slopes down to about 80-90 f under the surface of the water and not easily accessible town site that you can see old building foundations. Ice Diving is pretty demanding especially for the preparation for a dive entry, for safety we use ropes and dive reels that are attached on the surface of the Ice and secondary backup below the hole. It is a lot of fun and heart pounding at the same time.

Lake Minnewanka In Banff National Park Alberta, Canada #ExploreMore. By Chris Rauschnot
Lake Minnewanka - Banff National Park | Alberta Canada
Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake located in the eastern northeast of the Banff townsite. The lake is 21 km long and 142 m ) deep, making it the 2nd longest lake in the mountain parks of the Canadian Rockies.
The lake is fed by the Cascade River, flowing east of Cascade Mountain, and runs south through Stewart Canyon as it empties into the western end of the lake.
Dams were built in 1912 and 1941 to supply the town with hydro-electric power. The most recent dam (1941) raised the lake 30 m and submerged the resort village of Minnewanka Landing that had been present there since 1888. Because of the presence of the submerged village, submerged bridge pilings, and submerged dam (the one from 1912) the lake is popular among recreational scuba divers.

Lake Minnewanka by Boat (Banff National Park)
Enjoy the stunning views, glass still water and mystery of lake Minnewanka. We go by boat all the way to the back of the lake and explore some of the rich history lake Minnewanka has to offer.
Lake Minnewanka has quite the history. Its roots even include an abandoned town that once sat on the edge of the lake that is now 15 meters below water level.
Tales have been told of spirits that reside at the lake. Lake Minnewanka definitely demands a certain level of respect just by the feeling you get when you are there that you are not alone.
