Pragser Wildsee (Lago di Braies) in Süd Tirol (Italy), was one of my goals this year. Mainly because it's an Instagram paradise. In my case, flying the DJI Phantom over it, was an even more interesting challenge. This vlog also marks the return of Markos, my hommie. The Pragser Wildsee, is a lake in the Prags Dolomites in South Tyrol, Italy. It belongs to the municipality of Prags which is located in the Prags valley. During World War II it was the scene of the transport of concentration camp inmates to Tyrol. The mountain peak that is very dominant in the video, is the Seekofel (Croda del Becco).

Road Trip from Milan to Lago Di Braies | Stunning Lake in Italy | Travel Vlog
Lago di Braies or “Pragser Wildsee” is a stunning lake amidst the Dolomites region, this lake is a must-visit if you are visiting Northern Italy. It is just three hours drive from Venice and four and a half hours from Milan.
We drove from Milan via Lake Garda. The drive was beautiful with lakes and snow-capped mountains for company.
How to Reach :
We would recommend driving to Lago Di Braies as this gives you a lot of flexibility.
By Public Transportation -
The nearest railway station is Niederdorf (Villabassa).
There’s a bus ( 442 ) from the train station to Lake Braies but it operates only from June to September.
Nearest Airport - Innsbruck, Venice, Bergamo, Munich
Entry to the lake - FREE

Driving to Braies
The Lago di Braies is situated in the homonymous valley, the Val di Braies, which diverts from Val Pusteria between Villabassa and Monguelfo. This lake, located in the heart of the Braies Dolomites, is characterised by its unique position in the north of the nature park Fanes-Sennes-Braies. The geological origin of the emerald green lake is referable to a reservoir dam, consequence of a mudflow.
