This is a short video of me riding my bike from the West side of Melrose Minnesota into town.
The Lake Wobegon Trail is a 46-mile long, 10-foot wide, bituminous surfaced hike-and-bike pathway. The trail, which opened on September 30, 1998, extends through Central MN from the city of St. Joseph to the city of Osakis. The trail also has an extension on the west side of Albany heading northeast to Holdingford and beyond.

I've listened to Garrison Keilor's Prairie Home Companion on the radio several times before this drive search for Lake Wobegon, but not enough to know it's NOT a lake (just a trail) ;) It was fun learning the hard way :)

Bike MN 350 First Person Shot of Sakatah Singing Hills
Here is a first person shot I took while biking 600 miles around the state of Minnesota to talk to people about climate solutions in the leadup to Copenhagen. This was part of a two week bike ride I did for the 350 day of action. Enjoy!
Mesabi Trail: Biwabik to Aurora, MN
This section of the Mesabi Trail travels around The Quarry at Giants Ridge golf course, crosses Highway 100, and loops around the lake, ending in Aurora.
Located in northeastern Minnesota between the cities of Grand Rapids and Biwabik, the Mesabi TrailTM is a premier bicycle trail winding through some of the state's prettiest regions. When completed, the trail will travel to Ely, traversing over 145 miles and connecting 28 communities. A superior paved bike trail that is well-mapped and well-maintained, the Mesabi Trail also makes an interesting walking path.
