LAKE DISTRICT: A Day Trip in Lakeland | Day 2 | Cumbria UK || Tinny's ESCAPES Vlog
Date: 2nd July 2017
This is a vlog for the second of our business trip in Cumbria.
(Vlog for the trip on Day 1:
Since our team finished the sites inspection for the business consultancy project in the town of Carlisle on the day before, we decided to follow the plan we discussed earlier before we came to Cumbria, which is visiting other towns such as Penrith, Kendal, Keswick, Workington and Whitehaven for gathering more information to support our recommendations for our client. Meanwhile, we were enjoying our trip in the Lake District, which is a mountainous region located in North West England, as well as a popular destination for holidays and hiking., as well as its National Park (was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017). It is quite famous for its lakes, forests and mountains (or fells). ;)
We were thinking to take a boat trip at Ullswater Steamers but we changed our mind at the end due to inconvenience. It was a great experience to travel to the Lake District with our own car. We went to the Newlands Valley (known as one of the most picturesque and quiet valleys in the Lake District National Park) and also travelled to different places in the national park. Afterwards, we stopped by Whitehaven to have our late lunch at a restaurant called Waterfront, before we headed back to Newcastle. The food there was so delicious with a reasonable price. =)

Living in London 7: Lake District, Cumbria
I spent 3 days with a host family in the Lake District in Cumbria, soaking in the beautiful country views of wide glens and fells. There's nothing like living the simple life, having interesting conversations over tea and cakes, taking the dogs to the local park for walks, and strolling around the local towns.
214 (full movie) - 214 Wainwright Fells In The Lake District
All 214 wainwright fells in the lake district,

so this video is for anyone, there was a views i missed out on with mist or just when i first started getting out to do all these fells i didnt take enough pictures but since i got out walking again ive been re visiting a few summits and trying to get other good views around the fells, looking at my list i thought i would put together a video of highest to smallest with the area they are in,
i plan on adding more to this and the years to come so there will be a remake, havent just made this for everyone its something id like to look back
on again if i cant walk anymore, and like wainright i used public transpot to get to these sometimes even walked miles from home in workington, along with some other far away places to get too, plus some of the bus's dont run today like they used too ive seen a few old bus shelters to hide from the rain so take in mind if you do plan on doing this by public transport

#c4newspopup - poverty in the Lake District
There are reports of an economic recovery. But is everywhere sharing in it ? It may not be obvious, but some of Britain's most vulnerable people are to be found not in inner cities, but in areas like this. .

GREAT BRITAIN: CARLISLE (Cumbria, UK)
GREAT BRITAIN: CARLISLE (Cumbria, UK)
Filmed in February 2018
The City of Carlisle is a local government district of Cumbria, England, with the status of a city and non-metropolitan district. It is named after its largest settlement, Carlisle, aka Carlizzle, but covers a far larger area which includes the towns of Brampton and Longtown, as well as outlying villages including Dalston, Scotby and Wetheral. The city has a population of 107,524 and an area of 1,039.97 square kilometres (402 sq mi), making it the largest city in England by area (although the majority of its territory is not urbanised, but rural).
The current city boundaries were set as part of the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972, and cover an amalgamation of two former local government districts—the City and County Borough of Carlisle and the Border Rural District of Cumberland. The City of Carlisle shares a border with Scotland (to the north), and is bounded on the southwest by the borough of Allerdale, and on the south by the district of Eden. The county of Northumberland is to the east.
Although the present boundaries date to the 20th century, the city traces its origins to a 1st-century Roman outpost associated with Hadrian's Wall. The Brythonic settlement that expanded from this outpost was destroyed by the Danes in 875. Thereafter the region formed part of the Southern Uplands of Scotland, until colonised under King William II of England in 1092. William II built Carlisle Castle, which houses a military museum. Carlisle Cathedral, founded in the 12th century, is one of the smallest in England.
A border city, and the second most northerly city in England, Carlisle predominantly spans the flood plain of the River Eden. Commercially, it is linked to the rest of England via the M6 motorway, and to the Scottish Lowlands via the A74(M) and M74 motorways.
Luguvalium).
