Water Sports at Lavasa

Lavasa is Portofino of India. It is situated at a distance of about 60 kms from Pune in Maharashtra, India. Lavasa is the first hill city of India, being developed after Independence. Lakeshore watersports are operational in Lavasa. One can avail then between 10-5:30 pm. Even though on the higher side of expense, it is an activity one must experience on his/her way to Lavasa.
They have activities like Jet ski scooters, boating, kayaking and cruising. For boating, paddle and bumper boats are available. Theerr are pontoons and water volleyball for adventure lovers

Lavasa Lake City is a private, planned city near Pune, Maharashtra, India. Approximately 2 hours drive from Pune.

This beautiful place have Lakeside Promenade, Spas, resorts, cafes, restaurants offering you all kind of cuisine right from snacks to fine dining.
And for the adventure lovers, there are good options like water sport - kayaking, jet ski & other activities like cycling, Segway, rock climbing, zipline and many more.

One day in Lavasa!

Pune to Lavasa

Lavasa is a resort town located about 2 hours from Pune.

Family and I decided to go stay there for the night. We stayed at the Waterfront Shaw, which was super convenient as it had tons of restaurants and was close to all the amenities.

Lavasa offers some recreational activities. They have Jet Skis but they don't let you drive ... it's an escorted tour of the lake.

They also have what they call extreme sports, but I wouldn't really call them extreme. activities include ATV ride, rock climbing, Air rifle, Archery, and zipline.

I would say it's worth checking out once and not more than a day... there isn't really that much to do. Also, try to go when the weather is better maybe September - Jan. It was really hot when we went.

There are five access routes to Lavasa, one of which is fully enhanced and developed- The Chandni Chowk- Pune road to Lavasa which offers a pleasurable drive, just like the one you will experience on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Lavasa is approximately one hour drive from Pune and three hours drive from Mumbai.

BY ROAD:-Lavasa is best accessed by road. The access points through which you can get to Lavasa are:
From Mumbai:

On the Mumbai-Pune Expressway
- Via Panvel - Lonavala - Chandini Chowk
- Via Hinjewadi exit
- Via Lonavala - Somatne exit - Pirangut*
- Via Lonavala - Nive - Tamhini*

On Mumbai-Goa Highway
- Via Kolad**

From Pune :

Via Chandini Chowk - Pirangut

BY RAIL:-The Pune Railway Station, which is 65 km away from Lavasa, is the railway station closest to the city.

Lavasa is a private, planned city being built near Pune. It is stylistically based on the Italian town Portofino, with a street and several buildings bearing the name of that town.

This is around 56 km from Pune and 180 km from Mumbai. Perfect place for a weekend getaway.

A trip to Lavasa

A short video of our trip from Pune to Lavasa....

Lavasa is a beautiful, private, planned city built near Pune. It is based on the theme of an Italian town Portofino. It is beautiful, serene. Visually its very attractive if you visit this places in winters. One can also enjoy the water sports or boating in visually attractive lake. This plalce certainly has beautiful views all along the lake sides. One can shop, eat and have fun its a perfect place for one day visit.
