ABOUT LAKHPAT : Lakhpat is a sparsely populated town and sub-district in Kachchh district in the Indian state of Gujarat located at the mouth of Kori Creek. The town is enclosed by 7 km long 18th-century fort walls. The seaward side of the fort is guarded by Border Security Force (BSF) of India soldiers as it is not far away from international border between India and Pakistan marked in salt marsh land. There are BSF guards posted on the fort's fortifications and the nearby Border Outpost

लखपत कोरी क्रीक के मुहाने पर स्थित गुजरात राज्य के कच्छ जिले में एक कम आबादी वाला शहर और उप जिला है। शहर 7 कि.मी. लंबे 18 वीं सदी की किले की दीवारों से घिरा हुआ है। शहर का नाम राव लाखा के नाम पर है, जिन्होंने तेरहवीं शताब्दी के मध्य सिंध में शासन किया था।ऐतिहासिक रूप से यह गुजरात को सिंध से जोड़ने के लिए बहुत महत्वपूर्ण व्यापारिक स्थान रहा है। सिंधु नदी के जल का प्रवाह लखपत में और बाद में देसालपर गुन्थली में होता था। ऐतिहासिक काल खंड में लखपत में समृद्धि बहुत ही कम समय के लिए थी। यहाँ चावल की खेती की जाती थी और लखपत सिर्फ चावल से 800,000 कोरियों का वार्षिक राजस्व देता था। यह भी कहा जाता है कि लखपत की समुद्री गतिविधियों से हर रोज 100,000 कोरियों की आय उत्पन्न होती थी। फतेह मुहम्मद, अठारहवीं शताब्दीके करीब (1801), ने किले की दीवार को बड़ा कर दिया और पुनर्निर्माण किया और एक समय सिंध के व्यापार का एक बड़ा हिस्सा यहाँ केंद्रित था। हालांकि फतेह मुहम्मद ने लखपत को अपना मुख्य समर्थक माना परन्तु लखपत ने फतेह मुहम्मद के खिलाफ युद्ध की घोषणा की जब उन्होंने 1804 में कच्छराज्य के राव का विरोध किया।
कुछ साल बाद (1809), किलेदार मोहम्मद मियान ने हंसराज के एजेंटों को निकाल दिया और अपनी शर्तो पर शहर में शासन किया। 1818 में लखपत में 15,000 लोग थे और उन्होंने ₹ 60,000 का वार्षिक राजस्व अर्जित किया था। 18 1 9 के भूकंप के बाद एक प्राकृतिक बांध जिसे इलाहुंड के नाम से जाना जाता था, सिंधु नदी ने अपना प्रवाह बदल दिया और आगे उत्तर में अरब सागर में बहने लगी। इस प्रकार एक बंदरगाह के रूप में लखपत का महत्व नष्ट हो गया। 1820 तक, आबादी 6000 निवासियों तक कम हो गई, जिसमें सिंध से संचालित हिंदुओं के अन्य देशों और परिवारों के व्यापारिक सट्टेबाजों के परिवार मुख्यतः शामिल थे .किले की दीवारें अच्छी स्थिति में थीं, लेकिन घरों को बर्बाद कर दिया गया और क्षेत्र के एक तिहाई से भी काम भाग में सिमट गया। 1851 में सभी व्यापारियों ने शहर छोड़ दिया था और यह तब से गरीबी से पीड़ित और आधे से अधिक शहर सुनसान रहा है। 1880 तक आबादी 2500 हो गई।

लखपत किल्ला कच्छ गुजरात
लाखापतींचा शहर म्हणजेच गुजरात मधील कच्च जिल्ह्यातील लखपत एक छोटासा नगर तसेच हा उप जिल्हा पण आहे.
18 व्या शतकामधील हा किल्ल्ला भारतामधील पश्चिम बाजूला अरबी समुद्राकडे असणारा शेवटचा किल्ला, जिथे कधीकाळी प्राचीन सिंधू नदी हिमालयातून निघून काश्मीर ,लडाख , हडप्पा व मोहेंजोदडो मधून वाहत समुद्राला मिळत असे. तेव्हा नदीचा पात्रएवढं मोठं होत कि मोठे जहाज थांबत असत, म्हणूनच लखपत हा किल्ला या बंदरावर वसवलं गेला असावा.
इसवी सन १८०१ मध्ये किल्लेदार फतेह मुहंमद ने किल्ल्याच्या भिंती मोठ्या केल्या व किल्ल्याचा विस्तार केला.
लखपत किल्ला हा ७ किमी लांब पसरला असून, लांब लांब किल्याच्या भिंती व त्यावर असणारे बुरुज हे अवाढव्य असे आहेत. किल्ल्याच्या पश्चिमेकडील बाजूला सैनिकांची एक पहारा तुकडी आहे.
किल्ल्यामध्ये सुरवातीलाच एक गुरुद्वारा आहे जिथे श्री गुरु नानक साहेब आपल्या हज यात्रे दरम्यान थांबले होते, आजही त्यांचे पादुका व भिंतीवर लिखित ओली आहेत.
किल्ल्यामध्ये उंच तटबंधी सर्व बाजूला असून आत एक उध्वस्त असे शहर वसले आहे, असे मनाई जाते कि हे भुतिया शहर आहे परंतु तसे काही नाहीये फक्त उजाड शहर म्हणून अफवा पसरल्या आहेत.
गुरुद्वारा मध्ये रात्री राहण्याची व खाण्याची व्यवस्था होऊ शकते.

Lakhpat is a deserted town inside the fort known as Lajapat fort in Kutch. Once it was a prosperous town known for its trade outside India. Lakhpat also has a high religious significance for India’s thee biggest religions: Islam, Sikhism and Hinduism. It is here in Lakhpat that Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, made his last stop before finally moving to Mecca. Then Pir Ghaus Muhammad, a Sufi mystic, who practiced half as a Hindu and half as a Muslim, during his lifetime, is buried here in Lakhpat. His tomb is a stone construction with very complex carvings and a water tank that is said to have healing properties for skin problems.

Lakhpat Gurdwara Sahib or Gurdwara Pehli Patshahi (Gurdwara of The First Master) is a Gurdwara, a place of worship for the Sikhs, located in Lakhpatof Kutch district, Gujarat, India. Guru Nanak on his way to Mecca for Hajjstayed over in the town during his second (1506-1513) and fourth (1519-1521) missionary journey called Udasis. It is believed that he had visited the site during his fourth journey. The descendants of the host established Gurdwara here in early 19th century. This Gurdwara have his relics like wooden footwear and palkhi (cradle) as well as manuscripts and markings of two important heads of Udasi sect. The site is worshiped by the Udasi sect and initially it was maintained by them. Now it is maintained by local Sikh community and Gurdwara Shri Guru Nanak Singh Sabha of Gandhidham. The Gurdwara is the State Protected Monument (S-GJ-65) by the state archeological department. It has won the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Award of Distinction for conservation after the earthquake in 2001

#RannWithRBT 2016 Ride saw a good number of RBTians for the ride with ridernis. Enthusiasm was at its peak as riders covered entire Kutch region, Lakhpat Border, Mata No Madh and Wild Ass Sanctuary.
Riding through the rough weather of December in cold nights and dry days, minor breakdowns, fellow riders company and locations of the trip made the ride worth remembering for lifetime.

Lakhpat has had only one very short period of prosperity. Rice used to be cultivated and Lakhpat used to give an annual revenue of 800,000 Koris just from rice. It is also said that Lakhpat used to generate an income of 100,000 Koris everyday from maritime activities.
