Building History: Time Lapse Construction of the Stauffer Wing
Put on your favorite song and watch as the Stauffer Wing emerges at LancasterHistory.org! Footage captured from a webcam mounted on the property while construction was underway.
Since construction, the Stauffer Wing has won many awards, the most recent being the Lancaster County Planning Commission's Leadership Award. The Stauffer Wing, part of LancasterHistory.org's Campus of History, is an environmentally-sustainable, 19,755-sq-ft addition.
The Campus of History is slated to receive LEED Silver-Level certification-the first in the nonprofit sector in the Lancaster community. LancasterHistory.org made a commitment to a sustainable building from the master-planning stage, which allowed all aspects of the design to be considered with sustainability in mid. The new building is approximately 35% more efficient than an equivalent standard building and uses green elements such as a geothermal heating and cooling system, photovoltaic collectors, white roof technology, pervious paving, water-efficient landscaping, maximized recycled content, and local sourcing of materials.

Fine Artist Quakertown 267 261 8075 Quakertown 18951
Bobbi Shaw is a professional artist in Quakertown, Pa and also a partly self taught artist. She attended Bucks County Community College and received a fine arts degree. Since she is so free spirited, she couldn't decide how she wanted to further her education. Bobbi didn't want to feel like she had to choose what specific art career to study, she want to explore it all! Bobbi Shaw also wanted children and didn't want a high demanded career. I wanted creating art to be for me and enjoyable, she explained.
Bobbi paints acrylics on canvas. Her studio is in Quakertown, Pa. Art is my life and I paint every single day. It makes me happy to see people enjoying my art. God gave me a gift of being able to paint good and I thank him for that everyday by painting and having my art affordable to buy. I was grew up near in Bucks County Pa. Bucks county has a rich history of art and culture and I am blessed to grow up in that beautiful area. I still live in Bucks County today, declared Bobbi. Bobbi Shaw also states that she loves Bucks County and never plans to move elsewhere. She originally grew up in Hilltown but now resides in Quakertown and likes the historical town.
A resident of Quakertown in Bucks County Pa, Bobbi Shaw is an independent artists who works on a variety of mediums. Her favorite mediums are acrylic and watercolor, and also paints on real pressed leaves. She enjoys hiking and exploring nature which reflects on her artwork. She also can do commissions on request. She can be found on Etsy as BobbiShawArts.
Bobbi Shaw tried different techniques during her career, but she especially fell in love with painting with acrylic. Every artwork is the result of long painting process; every canvas is born during the creative search; every painting is full of my inner world. Each of her paintings brings different moods, colors and emotions. She loves to express the beauty, harmony and spirit of this world in her paintings. My heart is completely open to art. Thus, I enjoy creating inspired and beautiful paintings from the bottom of my soul. Each of my artworks reflects my feelings, sensitivity, passion, and the spirituality from my soul. Much of my art represents nature since I am a avid hiker and backpacker. I sometimes even incorporate dried and pressed plant life in my paintings. I also paint on pressed leaves for a unique look. I call them illuminated leaves. I also include some scenes from Bucks County in my artwork. Much of the landscapes i have painted came from original photographs that I have taken. Bobbi excitedly states.
Bobbi Shaw has also donated her art to charitable causes and auctions. She is very locally involved in the community in Quakertown. She likes to exhibit her artwork in community events such as Quakertown Alive and the Sellersville Museum.
Original means there's only one, and there won't ever be another exactly like it. If you purchase an original painting, you will be the only person in the world who has that exact painting hanging on your wall.
These days, since most everything is mass produced, factory made stuff, owning an original painting made by human hands is pretty darn special when you think about it. That's what makes Bobbi Shaw's art unique. Her artwork is original, just as art should be.

Bobbi Shaw is an one person operation. She handle everything on her own, starting with brainstorming an idea for a painting, preparing the canvas, drawing, painting, photographing the paintings, writing out the listings you see in her shop, and packaging paintings for shipment. It's a great deal of work, but she loves every second of it. she can't think of anything she'd rather be doing than painting, and running my her business. She is highly motivated, and passionate about making art in Quakertown.
You can find Bobbi Shaw at bobbishaw.wordpress.com and also on Etsy as BobbiShawArts.
