The wine has got to be kept cool and we do so with power, with refrigeration compressor. So without having power, and a fairly large refrigeration compressor, we had to figure out how we are going to generate enough power to run it. So that became our next issue.

Because of the emergency situation a lot of the trucking has been shifted over, and FEMA is taking a lot of the trucking. Therefore we are having a hard time getting fruit shipped in.

We are basically down to very little product distribution. And it is a major concern right now. We are sure it is going to come back, but not without some wounds to our business.

STORYLINE:
Hurricane Katrina forced many families and business owners to desert their properties in and around Louisiana.
The Landry family, which runs a winery in Folsom, was forced out of their home over two weeks ago.
On Saturday they returned for the first time since the hurricane wreaked havoc around the southern state.
Jeff, his wife Libby and their four sons returned not only to their home, but to their family business, Landry Vineyards.
Hurricane Katrina inflicted considerable damage to the city of New Orleans and to the surrounding region, but the Landry family was determined to return as soon as possible.
Pulling together, especially in this time. Trying to keep the wine cool...and just working together, said Mrs Landry.
Landry Vineyards operates in great part by using generators as source of electricity. The power generated is essential to keeping the wine cool.
Stakes are high, and over 2500 gallons of Landry wine could be lost.
We are down to very little product distribution. And it is a major concern right now, Mr Landry said.
In addition to the lack of power, Landry Vineyards also faces many other challenges, among them bringing fruit from California.
Those grapes are needed to produce a Merlot. Naturally, most trucking companies have been hired by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and other agencies for relief efforts.
The family's main market is the city of New Orleans, but it will take some time before that market recovers.
Jeff and his family started their wine business in 1999 in a state with little wine tradition compared to other parts of the US and foreign producers.

This footage taken during the last week or so of August. Fairly light activity, it picked up as the month cruised a long. Stay tuned for further volumes of skywatch winnipeg for the month of August.
After heavy activity during spring, the aerosol campaign in Winnipeg has been light throughout July, except for some strange activity around sunset..
I am looking for some focus groups that can maybe sit and chat for a bit. The goal would be to determine the best way to get scientific evidence that would help bolster some of the chemtrail theories.
It's a difficult hurdle to overcome. Looking for interested folks, pm me :)
