Burg Landskron in Villach, Austria - Dji Mavic Pro drone - Skydronauts
Burg Landskron (Landskron Castle) is a medieval castle northeast of Villach in the state of Carinthia, Austria. Dating back to the early 14th century, the castle ruins are located on a rock cone of the Ossiach Tauern range, at an elevation of 658 metres above sea level. Landskron Castle, its falconry centre conducting regular flying demonstrations, and the nearby macaque enclosure are now major tourist destinations in the region.

Die Burgruine Landskron
Die Landskron ist mit dem BLT-Tram 10 von Basel aus erreichbar.
Von Leymen führt ein Waldweg direkt zur Burg (30 Min.). Von Flüh erreicht man die Burg bequem auf einer Strasse. Rund um die Burg hat es einige Plätze zum gemütlichen Grillieren.
Die erste Burg wurde 1297 gebaut. 1813 wurde die Festung von der Bevölkerung geplündert und wurde dann als Steinbruch ausgebeutet. 1984 wurde die Ruine vom Verein Pro Landskron erworben und restauriert.
