Langara Island is a fisherman's dream. Millions of salmon storm past the island each year, making it one of the most productive sportfishing grounds in the world.
The MV Charlotte Princess is anchored in Henslung Cove on the south side of Langara Island. The resort is perfectly-positioned near fishing hotspots like McPherson and Andrew's Points, where guests have been know to wrestle 50, 60 and 70+ lb. salmon into their boats.
Humpback whale and orca sightings are common around the island with massive whales surfacing and playing only meters from fishing boats. Sea lions, seals, eagles and other marine birds also call this area home.

I will always remember this as one of most difficult and loneliest jobs I have ever attempted . Spring Salmon Fishing Haida Gwaii Island
just did a fantastic fishing trip in Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands). we were fishing for spring salmon and halibut. the salmon fishing was very successful but we didn't catch any big halibut. Haida Gwaii means people's island. people there call themselves Haida people (people people :)). we caught many big salmons and other fish including yellow eye, ling, and a small halibut. I caught a green lingcod and we had this green ling for dinner.
