OEFENING BINNENBRAND IN KOEKELARE - ZONE WESTHOEK

Brandweer Koekelare krijgt melding van een brand in een WZC, er is grote kans dat er zich nog personen in het pand bevinden en daarom kwamen hun collega's van post Kortemark en Diksmuide bijstand verlenen.
Bij aankomst van de brandweer blijkt dat er zeker nog 2 personen in het gebouw zijn waarop onmiddelijk de manschappen gewapend met water binnengingen. Eenmaal binnen word onmiddelijk een verkenning gedaan en een zoektocht naar de slachtoffers die vrijwel snel worden gevonden ondanks de rookontwikkeling. De brandhaard word dan ook gevonden door hun collega's op het verdiep eronder. De ladderwagen werd ingezet om de slachtoffers via een raam te evacueren. Beneden staat de medische discipline klaar om de slachtoffers de eerste zorgen toe te dienen. De bluswerken worden die tijd ook beëindigd dan volgt uiteindelijk ook een laatste sweeping

British soldiers inspect a German 38 cm SK L/45 Langer Max heavy siege gun, in fixed installation, captured in World War 1, on the Western Front. The barrel is partly buried, and there is considerable damage elsewhere. An officer uses a tape to measure the barrel diameter, and holds it up to his chest. Location: France. Date: 1917.
