Koh Lanta (Ko Lanta) Island is great! It has beautiful beaches, some great accommodation with loads of nice hotels & resorts, and it has some awesome restaurants! I would definitely recommend it as a nice spot for vacations and holidays!
Subscribe to my channel for more videos on what to do in Krabi, Ao Nang and Thailand in general. Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.
If you're looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi's Koh Phi Phi Island. Be sure to check out tripadvisor reviews for some comparisons.

Lanta Old Town in Koh Lanta, Thailand
The magic of Lanta Old Town is an intangible thing that's extremely hard to describe. If you're looking for a unique holiday or vacation experience, where you can truly step back to a time where life unfolds on a personal level, where fascinating cultural events take place on a day-to-day basis and when fresh seafood becomes a way of life, then Lanta Old Town might be the place for you...
There's not many places in the world where you can find accommodation that is literally 'on the sea'. The sensation of waves lapping beneath your wooden teak-floorboards is strangely comforting and the views from a wooden deck over the water are breathtaking (especially at sunrise). This is a sea-view with a difference!
Everywhere within Lanta Old Town is within walking distance and if you're a seafood lover this is pretty amazing. Local fishermen deliver catches of fresh fish and seafood to the local restaurants daily. Almost all the restaurants in Old Town cater primarily to the locals, so you can expect authentic flavours, the best and freshest of the daily catch and prices that will make you want to stay here forever!
Lanta Old Town lies within a perfect Natural Harbour, which means there are plenty of things to do right on your doorstep

BEST BEACH VIEWS & THE OLD TOWN OF KOH LANTA | Thailand | Vlog 012
We start the day on the West coast of the island, grabbing some lunch with a view to die for and check out the gorgeous and secluded Nui beach. One questionable taxi ride later we arrive on the east coast in the old town of Koh Lanta. We explore the street finding unique little shops, a temple and eventually end up having dinner in an incredible restaurant over the water on a very sketchy deck.
Beach: Nui beach
Lunch restaurant: Diamond Cliff Restaurant
Dinner restaurant: Apsara

THAILAND TRAVEL | EXPLORING KOH LANTA OLD TOWN
Heading through the centre of the Island, today I visited Old Town here in Ko Lanta to explore and visit some of the highly recommended restaurants in the area. Along the way me and my friend Nick from my accommodation come across an abandoned park and find some stunning views across the ocean. We finish up ordering a meal in a Thai-owned restaurant where I was fortunate enough to be invited to film the family preparing the food in their kitchen, which will be my follow-up video to this one.

Koh Lanta Thailand Food Guide: Part 1. Street Food and Markets on Koh Lanta 2019. Subscribe: NEW THAILAND FOOD AND TRAVEL VIDEOS EVERY WEDNESDAY.

Koh Lanta is a beautiful island, with great beaches, a relaxed very feel, and it is not built up like Phuket or Koh Samui. Many of the inhabitants still live a fairly traditional life. There are lots of restaurants on Koh Lanta, offering all types of western and Thai food.
The Koh Lanta markets are great places to grab some authentic Thai cuisine, fresh food, or Thai street food with lots of options on offer. There are all sorts of prepared and cooked foods including fruit, vegetables, seafood, Thai stir fries, curries and sweets & desserts. There’s also a variety of shopping with clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry and hand crafts.
Check out my recent video, Phuket Street Food: 8 Things You Should Try in 2019 here:
There are different Thai food markets markets open every day of the week on Koh Lanta and there are 2 featured in this video. Thai food markets and night markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets & night markets all over Thailand. At the markets you'll find so much Thai cuisine on offer & the food here is cheap, and so tasty! Thai food has been heavily influenced by Chinese food so you will find lots of familiar flavours.
And in case you’re worried, eating Thai street food is safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it nearly daily since 2012 in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. You’ll find street food on many street corners in Thailand, be it in Phuket, Bangkok, Pattaya, Hua Hin or Krabi and at all of the markets. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!

The markets in Thailand are also a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You'll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in Thai restaurants. Eating at markets is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.
Make sure you check out some Thai Food Markets on your trip to Thailand, and be sure to sample some of the amazing Thai street food that's available in Thailand! If you want to try some of the most delicious food in the world be sure to visit Thailand!

Koh Lanta is the most beautiful Island in Thailand
Koh Lanta, Thailand
We left Phi Phi Don and the Phi Phi Islands and made our way by ferry to Koh Lanta. The ferry ride to Koh Lanta is slightly longer than other ferry rides and takes quite a few hours. However, Koh Lanta was our favourite island in Thailand and we highly recommend that you visit it when you are there.
Thailand has become a little beat up over the years from the millions of tourists that visit it every year. It would seam that less tourists are visiting Koh Lanta and the beaches are in much better condition. The sand was bright white, clean and the water was crystal clear with great visibility.
We spent 4 days in Koh Lanta and in my opinion, it wasn’t enough. We stayed a little away from town in the Pinky Bungalow resort. The price can range from $50-100 per night and it includes breakfast. The hotel is split into two sections on opposite sides of the road, on the beach side is their newest edition with brand-new rooms and a beautiful quiet pool.
Overnight for dinner we would make our way down to the beach and walk down it until we arrived at our favourite restaurant Fisherman’s Cottage. It’s a great place to enjoy a beer, watch the sunset and have a bite to eat.
For food, head down to the beach from Pinky Bungalow and walk to the Fisherman's Cottage restaurant. This place is a good option for food and drinks and watching the sunset in a hammock or on a swinging chair.

Originally from Vancouver, Canada we started an activewear business with nothing but a $5,000 credit card. Over 5 years we grew to over a million dollars in sales, and had our products sold in hundreds of stores, we were featured on Dragons Den, Bloomberg and much more! As the business grew it was becoming more stressful, and more expensive to keep up with the growth. In April 2019 we decided that we had enough and decided to sell everything and travel the world in search of adventure, happiness and new experiences. We started this YouTube channel to share our memories with family and friends, and even more so as a way to document our memories for ourselves! We are travelling FULL TIME as of June 2019, and we hope you will follow along our journey!
