In Thailand there were plenty of cooking schools, we tried the Cooking with Mon school in Koh Lanta. We cooked the typical dishes Massaman Curry and Papaya Salad. It was a beautiful day and Mon was great!

Hey guys,
This is Episode 22 of 32 of our trip through Thailand. We traveled to Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Krabi and Ko Lanta and back again in 3 months. We didn't vlog everyday but we filmed alot, CrossFitted alot, explored alot and drove around on scooters alot.
Time for Lime is a cooking School on the island of Ko Lanta in southern Thailand. The people who visit here get to learn to cook from an exceptional teacher (Noi, thank you), while knowing that they are supporting an organization that creates solutions for the stray animals on the island. How cool is that?
Not only do you learn to be a great cook, you're supporting a good cause at the same time.
In this video we exhibit the creation of crispy spring rolls (Poo Pia Todd) and spicy and tangy shrimp soup (Tom Yam Goong). After eating, we go back to the kitchen to create massaman curry (gaeng massaman). I love massaman curry!

Koh Lanta (Thailand) - Thai Cooking Class with Time for Lime and Lanta Animal Welfare
We loved Koh Lanta! There are beautiful beaches, great places to eat and a wicked Old Town to explore. AND, we had an amazing time learning to cook INCREDIBLE Thai food with Time For Lime which is the majority fund source for Lanta Animal Welfare - a non-for-profit that benefits hundreds of dogs and cats, not just on Koh Lanta island, but the surrounding Krabi Province. We loved visiting their rehabilitation centre and volunteering as dog walkers for the day!
Incredible food + cocktails + dog walking + sunsets!

Koh Lanta Food and Market Guide. Thai Street Food on Koh Lanta Thailand 2019
Koh Lanta Thailand Food Guide: Part 1. Street Food and Markets on Koh Lanta 2019. Subscribe: NEW THAILAND FOOD AND TRAVEL VIDEOS EVERY WEDNESDAY.
This video is from a weekend my family and I spent on Koh Lanta, in Krabi Thailand in February 2019. The places in the video in order of appearance in the video are:
Secret Beach, Google Maps:
Klong Dao Beach, Google Maps:
Ananda Lanta Resort:
Saladan Food Market. Open every Saturday, 3pm till 6:30pm. Google Maps:
The Kitchen Restaurant, Open daily 5pm - 10pm. Google Maps:
Koh Lanta Old Town Sunday Market, Open Sundays 8am - 10:30am. Google Maps:
Koh Lanta is a beautiful island, with great beaches, a relaxed very feel, and it is not built up like Phuket or Koh Samui. Many of the inhabitants still live a fairly traditional life. There are lots of restaurants on Koh Lanta, offering all types of western and Thai food.
The Koh Lanta markets are great places to grab some authentic Thai cuisine, fresh food, or Thai street food with lots of options on offer. There are all sorts of prepared and cooked foods including fruit, vegetables, seafood, Thai stir fries, curries and sweets & desserts. There’s also a variety of shopping with clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry and hand crafts.
Check out my recent video, Phuket Street Food: 8 Things You Should Try in 2019 here:
There are different Thai food markets markets open every day of the week on Koh Lanta and there are 2 featured in this video. Thai food markets and night markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets & night markets all over Thailand. At the markets you'll find so much Thai cuisine on offer & the food here is cheap, and so tasty! Thai food has been heavily influenced by Chinese food so you will find lots of familiar flavours.
And in case you’re worried, eating Thai street food is safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it nearly daily since 2012 in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. You’ll find street food on many street corners in Thailand, be it in Phuket, Bangkok, Pattaya, Hua Hin or Krabi and at all of the markets. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!

The markets in Thailand are also a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You'll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in Thai restaurants. Eating at markets is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.
Make sure you check out some Thai Food Markets on your trip to Thailand, and be sure to sample some of the amazing Thai street food that's available in Thailand! If you want to try some of the most delicious food in the world be sure to visit Thailand!

Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.
If you're looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi's Koh Phi Phi Island.

The passenger & vehicle ferry from Krabi mainland to Koh Lanta Island (Ko Lanta), Thailand เกาะลันตา
The passenger and vehicle ferry from Krabi to Ko Lanta Islands (เกาะลันตา), Thailand. This ferry runs between the mainland at Hua Hin in Krabi and Koh Lanta Noi. It runs from 6AM to 10PM daily. A second ferry is needed to get from Koh Lanta Noi to Koh Lanta Yai.
The ferry is very cheap - we paid 51 Baht in total for the 2 ferries, for 2 people and 1 motorbike.
Koh Lanta (Ko Lanta) Island is great! It has beautiful beaches, some great accommodation with loads of nice hotels & resorts, and it has some awesome restaurants! I would definitely recommend it as a nice spot for vacations and holidays!

Cooking DELICIOUS Thai Food in Chiang Mai!! @ Thai Cookery School
What an incredible day! Being the first of 5 cooking classes, we started off real strong. Garnet at the Thai Cookery School blew us away with not only her culinary knowledge and skills but with her kindness and relatability. She was the most caring and excitable person we have come across and she made the day absolutely amazing. I hope you all enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed the food. ;P #cookingclasschiangmai #bestcookingclasschiangmai #chiangmaicookingclass

About Us!
If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. Decisions like the one we made start with an inflection point. A point where you realize that life can never be the same anymore. After a challenging, and painful year in 2017, we decided we needed to go out and live the life we wanted to live, instead of watching it on someone else’s YouTube Channel. We had given everything we had, physically and emotionally, for other’s dreams and were ready to work that hard for ourselves. From rock bottom, Chase for Adventure was born.
The Chase Begins
We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our YouTube Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.
Thai Cooking Class
A trailer for a cooking class we signed up for on our trip to Thailand (March 2012). On an island east of Phuket called Ko Lanta.
I've been told that Ko Lanta is now, what Phuket was 10 years ago; the pre-tourism boom is creeping onto more islands every year.
The 5 1/2 hour class was a lot of info to take in. If we were to do it over, we would sign up for the 2 hour class instead. Jose got more out of it than I did- we were full after the first 2 hours.
Some dishes included spring rolls (sooo tasty!) and how to make Curry from scratch. There was also interesting tid-bits to learn like that each vegetable has two specific ways to be cut when added to food: one way when it's eaten and another if it's added just to release flavor and should not be eaten.

Beautiful Koh Lanta, Thailand | Traveling by Scooter
Another day, another ferry trip. Another day, another island. Another day, another scooter trip where we go in circles. Another day, another amazing sunset.
We traveled from Koh Phi Phi to Koh Lanta by ferry. It was a beautiful ride and Koh Lanta is amazing. It's where to go in Thailand if you want to chill and hang out. Not a lot of traffic or tourists. Just nice island vibes.
We decided to rent some scooters and visit a hike to find a waterfall. We got lost, had lunch and eventually found the trail. There were beautiful sights and beaches on the way......and that sunset. Be sure to watch to the end to see the sunset. you won't believe that we captured it without a filter but we did and it was amazing.

Time For Lime - Amazing Thai Cooking School
Time for Lime, on the island of Koh Lanta, Thailand, is a beachfront business with a heart. The profits from its cooking school, restaurant, bungalows and bar go to Lanta Animal Welfare- a dog and cat care charity that started life in Time for Lime's own back garden.
While filming this short video I had the opportunity to try out some of their food and cocktails and, even without their charity credentials, I'd REALLY recommend a visit if you're ever near Koh Lanta! The food is amazing and you'll never forget your first T4L lemongrass margarita!
