Amazing Chinese Street Food China-Foood Tour of Nanjing in LaoMendong,
Lao men dong is a part of tourist spot of Confucius Temple. And visiting the temple is a must thing if you came to Nanjing.
In this video, we will take you to Lao men dong. At the beginning of the video, the classic Chinese architecture style will be shown. There are lots of interesting shops in there, selling Chinese artworks, if you came to Nanjing, you could go check one by one.
Also, what is the most important and you can't miss out is the food. You probably would join in the line and waiting for the hot-selling sesame seed cakes of Xiao Zheng Qiao; the line is getting longer and longer, you need to be patient. When you got the cakes, you could just step in one restaurant, where there will be lots of people dining there, beef soup, beef noodles, beef glass noodles, fried dumplings, soup dumplings, tofu jelly, Cold jelly and so on.
After that, you could have some desserts; then the plum cake would blow your mind with just 6 RMB or so. You would also see other kinds of snacks, like duck intestines, fried crispy beef slice, pickled vegetable cakes and so on. Just try one by one if you could eat a lot, and you wouldn't be disappointed with them.

Beautiful Nanjing. China.
Nanjing (About this sound listen), formerly romanized as Nanking and Nankin,[3] is the city situated in the heartland of lower Yangtze River region in China, which has long been a major center of culture, education, research, politics, economy, transport networks and tourism. It is the capital city of Jiangsu province of the People's Republic of China and the second largest city in the east China region,[4] with acreage about 6600 square kilometers and a total population of 8,230,000.[5] Nanjing remains the de jure official legal capital of the Republic of China, which lost control of the mainland during the civil war in 1949. Meanwhile, Taipei serves as the provisional capital of the central government of the ROC, and controls the island of Taiwan.[6] The inner area of Nanjing enclosed by the city wall is Nanjing City (南京城), with acreage of 55 km2, while Nanjing Metropolitan Region includes surrounding cities and areas, with acreage over 60 thousand km2 and population over 30 million.Nanjing, one of the nation's most important cities for over a thousand years, is recognized as one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, and had been the world's largest city aggregately for hundreds of years, enjoying peace and prosperity while with painful days of suffering wars and disasters.
Nanjing, China Highlights: City Wall, Presidential Palace, Fuzimiao Markets, Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum
While not as well known as Beijing, Nanjing is the former capital of China (during the Ming and Qing dynasties) and is just as superb for cultural attractions. It has its own extraordinary city wall, palaces, temple markets, and mausoleums. And the locals are much friendlier IMHO :) Located just a few hours west of Shanghai, this is a must see for anyone's southern China itinerary.

Xinjiekou Info:
Xinjiekou (Chinese: 新街口; pinyin: Xīnjiēkǒu) is the central business district of Nanjing, People's Republic of China. It gave its name to Xinjiekou subway station.
Xinjiekou is an ancient site in Nanjing. In ancient times, it is only a quiet and lonely street with lots of empty space and pond. Since 1929, the location has changed greatly; four main roads of 40-meter-width met here: Zhongshan Eastern Road, Zhongzheng Road (Zhongshan Southern Road), Hanzhong Road, and Zhongshan Road, with a traffic circle in the center. On the grounds of the new traffic circle, Xinjiekou became the newly developing commercial center. In the 1930s, many buildings sprang up, like The Domestic Bank, Zhejiang Xingye Bank, Bank of Communications, the Central Shopping Center, Dahua Theater, Xindu Theater, and Fuchang Restaurant. In the 1980s, Jinling Restaurant was the tallest building.
