????China , Province East Sichuan home of indigenous Chongqing dog and Chuandong hound .Strong evidence ( ceramic pottery )over 2030 year old confirming the authenticity of modern Chongqing dog & Chuandong hound. Although the ancestry of both breed remains a mystery, it is considered to be one of China’s oldest breeds with a history that traces back at least 2000 years. Older then Shar Pei or Chow Chow. As a result of persecution by the Communist Party, the Chinese Chongqing Dog nearly became extinct during the middle of the 20th Century and is still considered one of the rarest dog breeds in the world , BUT ONLY THE BULLDOG TYPE . Chuandong hound is extremely popular in China , population of Chuandong hound was never endanger. The Chinese Chongqing dog has a unique appearance. There is no mistaking him.His tail is his most special feature. Known as a “bamboo tail”, it stands completely straight. It is thick at the base and sharp at the end Guess what, fans of purebred dogs? A lot of us have at our feet dog breeds that are living museum pieces, and their heritage breeders are nothing less than conservators.
