Las Galeras is a Dominican Municipal district of Santa Bárbara de Samaná, Samaná province. It is on the east coast of the Samaná Peninsula, on the Rincón Bay that is found between Cabrón and Samaná capes.

A perfect day out in Las Galeras at the Tower then Barco Hundido.
Crystal clear water, whales singing and the big, deep blue...
Dive goes to about 60m but we only went to 43m - restricted by the GoPro housing! Lionfish, trumpet fish, lobster, barracuda etc are all on the Tower, we were lucky enough to have a visit from a southern stingray.

Grand Paradise Samana Las Galeras [RD] 4K
The all inclusive resort Grand Paradise Samana is located on the peninsula of the same name in the Dominican Republic on the north coast near Las Galeras. We had booked the upscale COOEE at Grand Paradise, which has its own bar and restaurant area, lawn and pool. The guests of the Grand Paradise have no access, but we could also use their hotel area. The higher standard is noticeable in the quality of the drinks and the several times a day refreshed snack buffet. We were most fascinated by the location in the tropical garden with the coconut palms, the dreamlike photogenic sandy beach and the biotopes with the numerous fish and turtles. Who did not want to snorkel in the sea for the grazing turtles, could relax in the beautiful pool area with bar. Opportunity to get to know the country better offers the excursions offered on site. Who can live with it, that not everything is perfect, can spend a relaxing holiday here, from me there is a very clear recommendation!
