This very brief recording has been slightly edited to remove inaudible sound and swearing. Therefore the main bits have been reserved to demonstrate how to witness to a hostile party, share what light one can, and then seek to close the witness account on a light note, without the potential to add further hostility.

Haunted History of ~Blanchland , Northumberland, England, U.K
The village is a hidden gem it owes its original existence to the foundation of the abbey in 1165. The name 'Blanchland' means 'white land', which refers to the white robes worn by monks of the Premonstratensian order, who established a monastery here .
The church is a grade 1 listed building containing a variety of remnants from the earlier abbey and from the 12th to the 19th centuries. After the abbey was disbanded by Henry VIII the west range was incorporated into what is now the Lord Crewe Arms hotel, along with the abbot's lodging, guesthouse, and the monastic kitchen. The abbot's lodging resembles a peel tower and dates to the 13th century. It retains its vaulted undercroft. Opposite the Lord Crewe Arms is the abbey gatehouse, built around 1500. Evidence of abbey buildings are everywhere in Blanchland.
Killed by a group of bandits, the monks of this abbey can occasionally be seen drifting across their land. The phantom pealing of the abbey bell accompanies them.
The abbey granges were pillaged during the Anglo-Scots wars, in particular during 1327, but the abbey itself was apparently left unscathed. There is however a legend that during one raid in the area, the monks prayed that the abbey would be spared. Subsequently, a mist descended which shielded the valley and monastery from view and was overlooked by the Scottish raiders, who passed by. The foolish monks upon hearing this, proceeded to ring the abbey bells to signal to every one in the valley that it was safe, that the invaders had passed. During their celebration of bell ringing, the Scottish invaders heard the bells, turned around and ransacked the Monastery.
The abbey was dissolved in 1539 and granted to the Bellow and Broxholm families. It was later acquired by the Radclyffe family from whom it passed by marriage to Nicholas Forster. Part of the abbey church was altered and retained for use as the parish church, and the abbots' former residence became the manor house. In 1612, it was the residence of Sir Claudius Forster, High Sheriff of Northumberland.
When in 1701 Fernando Forster was murdered, the estate passed through to co-heirs: Dorothy (sister of Fernando) who had married Nathaniel Crew, 3rd Baron Crew, Bishop of Durham, and Thomas Forster of Adderstone, the son of her deceased sister Frances. The estate was however encumbered with debt. Lord Crew purchased all the Forster estates including Blanchland in 1704 for £20,697, sufficient to pay off the creditors. The Forster connection with Blanchland came to an end as a result of Thomas Forster's involvement in the Jacobite rising of 1715. On his death in 1721, Lord Crew left all his properties to be administered in trust for charitable purposes (Lord Crewe's Charity).
The abbey gatehouse survives and the stone houses surrounding the village square were partly constructed using stone from the monastery. The manor house became an inn, the Lord Crewe Arms, in the 1720s.
Ghost of Dorothy Forster -Old Hexham Road, and Lord Crewe Arms Hotel
Dorothy's brother escaped to France in 1715, and her ghost looks for someone who will take a message to him. The ghost of a monk dressed in white has been seen and heard moving things around in the Radcliffe Room.
The phantom Dorothy is still reported to drift down the road, heading towards the pub where she also haunts.
The Abbey is usually open during daylight hours all year round, visitors are always welcome.

Bradford-Halifax Greenway
The Bradford-Halifax Greenway would connect communities either side of the ridge which separates Bradford District and Calderdale. It is supported by the two local Councils, Sustrans, the Great Northern Railway Trail Development Group and the Queensbury Tunnel Society.
Campaigners believe the route - incorporating a 1.4-mile long disused railway tunnel - would become a magnet for tourists as a landmark addition to the country’s cycle network and offer the potential for commuting trips.
In order to address health and environmental challenges, both Councils recognise the need to promote a shift to sustainable forms of transport, driven by the provision of safe, high-quality cycling infrastructure.
Although the Greenway would cost an estimated £16 million to construct, it would deliver a high-value Benefit:Cost Ratio of 2.31:1 when expected tourism benefits are included.
This video was produced by the Queensbury Tunnel Society in support of an 'advocacy document' developed by Bradford Council for funding applications.

Rude staff at Weatherspoons
This shows how untrained bar staffs are at Weatherspoons.
One day at Weatherspons the pub at crewe, we ordered drinks and some food.
He first tried overcharge us, then he could not make drinks right a way so he told us he would bring them to our table. We waited for nearly an hour, so we went to the counter. And this is his reply. No apology. He had pretty bad manner and attitude.
I want to clearify a few things here.
I did not intersepted any other guests. He was talking to one of my party.
It was he who had told us to wait at the table becuase he would bring drinks. (Maybe it was someone else's roll to bring them to a table, but for us it didn't matter becasue he was the one took our order and instructed us to wait.)
We have waited nearly one hour becuase we tired to be patient. well, completely true, we had food already brought to us.
In the end of video, he said he would deal with us AFTER, but he (or his team) never came to us to deal.
On the menu, clearly reads please note your table number, place your order at the bar and leave the rest to us and that's what we did.
We normally took our drinks to our table, but this time, the staff told us to wait on our table.
They did not what they said they would do. When we asked, no appology (but excuses). This alone is rude. I think.

British Pubs Are Booming (April 1st)
British pubs are brimming with happy people, apart from the 6 per day that are going down the toilet.
A short and sweet summary of the state of 1000's of pubs in 2009 - there's one crank at the bar and the barmaid is outside having a smoke while I'm stuck with a crisp-eating weirdo.
But it gave me a chance to practice some split-screen filming...
