Laxapana Falls is 126 m (413 ft) high and the 8th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 625th highest waterfall in the world. It is situated in Maskeliya area in Nuwara Eliya District, about 16 km (9.9 mi) from Maskeliya town on Maskeliya-Norton Bridge road, in a village called Koththelena.
To reach the Koththelena village, you may take the road from Ginigathhena or Norton Bridge via Maskeliya road and turn right to the Hangarapitiya-Polpitiya road junction preceding a steep slope crossing the Maskeliya Oya in the valley. Crossing the river, the minor road runs parallel to the valley’s west bank and the road deteriorates up to Koththelena village. New guest houses are dotted in the Koththelena village close to the Laxapana Fall to serve the visitors to the site.

නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ පිහිටා ඇත.උස මීටර් 125කි. සමනළ කන්දෙන් ඇරඹී කැළණි ගඟට වැටෙන මස්කෙළිය ඔය මෙම ඇල්ල නිර්මාණය කරයි. ලක්ෂපාන ජල විදුලි බලාගාරය ක්‍රියාත්මක වන්නේ මෙම ඇල්ලේ ආධාරයෙනි. දඩයමේ ගිය වැදි නායකයෙකු විසින් මේ ඇල්ල සොයාගන්නා ලදැයි ජනප්‍රවාදයේ ඇත. එහෙයින් එය වැද්දාගේ ඇල්ල නමින් ද හැඳින්වේ.
කොළඹ – ගිනිගත්හේන මාර්ගයේ කළුගල හන්දියෙන් හැරී කෙහෙල්ගමුවල හඟරාපිටිය හරහා කොත්තැල්ලෙන ගමට ගොස් කිලෝමීටරයක පමණ දුරක් අඩි පාරක් දිගේ ගොස් ලක්ෂපාන දියඇල්ල නැරඹිය හැකිය. කළුගල හන්දිය යනු කිතුල්ගල ප්‍රදේශය පසුවෙනවාත් සමඟම ඇති හංදියයි. එම ස්ථානයේ පොලිස් මුරපොළක්ද පිහිටා තිබීමෙන් මෙකී ස්ථානය හඳුනාගත හැක. එකම ගැටලුව වන්නේ කිලෝ මීටර් 17ක් පමණ දුර මෙම මාර්ගයේ මුල් කිලෝමීටර් 5ට පසුව මාර්ගය ඉතාම අබලන් තත්ත්වයේ පැවතීමයි.
හැටන්, මස්කෙළිය හරහා කිරිවන්එළියට පැමිණීමෙන්ද දිය ඇල්ලට සමීප විය හැකිය. එහි යා හැකි අනිත් මාර්ගය විහිදෙන්නේ ගිනිගත්හේන හරහාය. ගිනිගත්හේන සිට ශ්‍රීපාද මාර්ගයේ පැමිණ නෝටන්බ්‍රිජ් හරහා කිරිවන්එළිය ගමට පැමිණීමෙන්ද දිය ඇල්ල නැරඹිය හැකිය. අප නිර්දේශ කරන්නේද මෙකී මාර්ග දෙකයි. එසේම වැරදිලා හෝ කළුගල හන්දියෙන් (කොළඹ සිට යද්දී) දකුණට හැරවූයේ නම් ලක්ෂපාන විදුලිබලාගාරය දක්වා මාර්ගයේ ගමන් ගැනීමෙන්ද නෝටන්බ්‍රිජ් වෙත පැමිණිය හැක. නෝටන්බ්‍රිජ් හරහා දිය ඇල්ල බැලීමට යන්නේ නම් ඔබට දිය ඇල්ල පාමුලට යන්නට ප්‍රථම දිය ඇල්ල මුදුනට ගොස් දිය ඇල්ල මුදුනේ සිට පහළ බැලිය හැක.

Aberdeen Falls is a 98 m (322 ft) high waterfall on the Kehelgamu Oya near Ginigathena, in the Nuwara Eliya District of Sri Lanka. Aberdeen is named after Aberdeen, the third largest city in Scotland and the capital of Aberdeenshire. Kehelgamu Oya is a major tributary of the Kelani River.
To reach Aberdeen Falls from Ginigathena town, one then must proceed along Ambatale Road up to the Buddha statue at the end of the road. Then one should park their vehicle and walk about 1.2 km along the road. Bathing in the middle of the pool and swimming to the middle has caused death to swimmers in the past. This waterfall is covered with a big stone complex behind. The waterfall is ranked as the 18th highest on the Island.

Wonderful waterfall near to Hatton area. A little bit diversion from main road, but worth to visit. Do not see the waterfall from up on the road. Always go to the bottom of the fall. You will find a nice nature pond. Very scenic to watch from the bottom. However, you have to go down 908 steps to the waterfall. The hard part is the climbing up.

Peak Field Falls, Maskeliya (2018) - 1 of 4
Peak Field Falls is located on the Peak Field Estate (along with the border of Moray Estate thus the confusion in name as Moray Falls) on on the shadows of Samanala Range.
The waterfall is fed by a stream originating from the Samanala Mountain Range and ends up at the Mausskelle Reservoir at the bottom of the fall. This fall cascades in 3 segments before finally hitting the bottom.
Another beautiful waterfall called Gartmore Falls is located nearby and falls similarly to the same reservoir.

* Don’t walk off the designated footpath.
* Don’t use soap/detergent/shampoo when bathing in natural streams as they’d only lead to the contamination of those pure water sources and elimination of wildlife species.
* Don’t do anything that harms the Mother Nature.
